23.01.2022 JUST ANNOUNCED! Queensland will remain shut to Sydneysiders but open to the rest of New South Wales, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced on the eve of the state election. Victoria will be closed to Queensland ... that is a strong border decision that we have taken every step of the way, Ms Palaszczuk said. The other area we’re announcing today is, in relation to NSW, NSW greater Sydney will remain closed to Queensland, that is 32 local government areas.... The border will reopen from November 3 at 1am, to the remaining parts of NSW.

16.01.2022 Not only does the RACQ Unroadworthy Roads Survey help to lobby government for better roads, participation also puts you in the running for a nice little prize. But you only have until Tuesday! What roads will you name and shame?

16.01.2022 Newlyweds Meg and Ollie Clothier spent their first year of married life caretaking for farmers across Australia allowing them a chance to get off the farm for medical appointments, catch up with family and get some time out. It’s the spirit of these Two Young Nomads, and our farmers who keep pushing through the tough times to put food on our table and clothes on our back, that we celebrate tomorrow on #AgDayAU.

15.01.2022 While isolated thunderstorms have dumped rain in some parts of the state, much of it is still tinder dry. Just ask those in the south west (who sweated through 40-plus degree temperatures this week) if it’s going to be a long, hot summer. With that comes the risk of bushfire. So make sure you follow the advice of the Rural Fire Service and:... Prepare your property Make the decision early to leave or stay Tune in regularly to warnings To make sure you’re fully prepared, visit the Rural Fire Service’s website which is packed full of essential information, including a great online tool that helps you create your own personalised Bushfire Survival Plan and walks you through everything you need to do on your property. 06.01.2022 If you’ve driven the Bruce Highway lately you know that something has to change...

05.01.2022 "Rather than seeing farmers and agriculture as something to be controlled with rules and regulations, open collaboration and conversation with industry is key," says AgForce General President, Georgie Somerset. Australian agriculture has: reduced CO2 emissions, down 55% since 2005 increased documented biosecurity plans for cattle properties, from 25% to 90%... 99% compliance for chemical residues decreased water usage improved livestock pain relief. "There’s no doubt the world, and with it the animal welfare and environmental sustainability expectations for agriculture, is changing, and I for one don’t have a problem with that. "It’s important we continue to ensure best practice, that we raise the bar across the industry." "What I do object to are the false claims that agriculture is the problem."
