08.01.2022 Some interesting facts about water usage! A tap left running can waste up to 17 litres of water a minute. The average Australian Household uses almost 63 buckets of water a day. Thats 230,000 litres of water a year.... A leaking toilet can waste over 16,000 litres of water a year. Approximately 49% of household water used inside the home is used in the bathroom. Regular showerheads, when used for 8 minutes disperse around 120 litres of water, whereas, water efficient showerheads use less than 72 litres in the same time. A dripping tap wastes over 2,000 litres of water a month. Drains can become severely blocked or damaged due to root growth therefore an annual check-up of your stormwater and sewage drains is a good idea. After all, maintenance is cheaper than replacement.
