19.01.2022 Highfield House is well worth a visit any time but made even more special now by these additional pieces donated by the Ford family.

17.01.2022 Stanley Discovery Museum and Joe Lyons Cottage will both reopen Sunday 27th September with COVID-19 restrictions and conditions applying. Open daily from 11am until 3pm both are dependent upon volunteer availability but happy to open by appointment. The Museum has a number of publications available for sale - "Along the Terrace" by Betty Jones, the history of occupiers and owners of the town allotments from 1843-1922 only available from the Museum; Garry Kerr's Maritime Series of DVD's including "Trading out of Stanley"; local History Journals; "Bridging the Strait" - commemorating the first flight across Bass Strait by Pirrie Shiel and others.

09.01.2022 Here are two very early photos looking from the Nut along Godfrey's Beach which was the initial access route to Highfield. The Museum are looking for any photos of Tatlows Beach area showing the railway line along the foreshore and/or the sawdust dumping area.
