22.01.2022 Hello folks, The Stanley Post Office is still open! Those visiting the Post Office in the last couple of days will have noticed the further safety measures we have introduced to keep our staff and our customers safer As customers we ask that you observe the following:... - Please stay away if you are unwell, and arrange for your mail to be delivered or collected by someone else - Use the one way route marked out : entry through normal doors, and exit through the kitchen and back up the hall to the front door , allowing a safe distance of 1.5 m if anyone is entering the door - Use the marked crosses on the floor to illustrate safe distance with no more than 2 people in the jumble room at a time - Please allow the staff time to move away if you need to collect a large parcel from inside the office - Unwilling to enter the school building? Please knock on the Office window, for parcels and mail to be dropped on the mat outside for collection - You'll notice that to protect our paid staff and volunteers we have installed a Shield in front of the service window Regarding the School Grounds Parents - Children may notice a new face at the window as they drive by... :) Sadly the playground is now closed until further notice Kindly Anni Turnbull Secretary SRCI

21.01.2022 Pop into the Post Office tomorrow morning and pick up some fabulously fresh local produce... Green Tomato Chutney anyone.... I bet you can think up many creative ideas for these vibrant and fresh beautiful fruit. A simple donation into the box and away you go. We also have a selection of magazines - be inspired, learn some new skills for your garden, your house, shed or workshop. Get some chook wisdom... a real treasure trove. Do come in for a good old mooch around. :-)

20.01.2022 We have been the blessed by the donation of some wonderful books these past couple of weeks. Just in time to help fill in your days if the weather happens to turn and you cannot be in the garden during this lockdown. Call into the Post Office and see if something takes your fancy. 07.01.2022 Stanley Post Office Closure on Sundays Following the decision of the State Government to institute Stage 3 restrictions in Regional Victoria, combined with the compulsory wearing of masks, it has been decided by the SRC Committee to close the Stanley Postal Agency on Sundays for at least 6 weeks or for however long Stage 3 remains in force. This decision has not been taken lightly, but we have a responsibility to not only the generous Volunteers but also to those visiting the... Post Office. The committee hopes that you will accept and understand the situation we are currently in. Stanley, Beechworth, and surrounding areas have so far managed to be COVID-19 free and the aim is to keep it that way. This is only one small step we are taking. Other than Sundays, the Post Office will remain open and operating as per normal trading times on Mondays to Saturdays. Please also note that the Stanley School grounds are closed for any and all other activities during the 6 weeks of Stage 3. The Committee reminds you to wear a mask when attending the Post Office and we thank you for continuing to observe hand sanitising and physical distancing before and during your visit. Finally, we offer a huge THANKYOU to our staff for continuing to give their time to the community. Please show them every respect and courtesy for providing this service. 01.01.2022 We ask customers to stay away if you are unwell, and arrange someone to collect your mail and parcels for you. We are now directed to sign for parcels on your behalf so you can avoid handling the scanner and maintain your 1.5 m safe distance At Stanley, we have set up a handwash station at the rear of the Jumble Room for customers and staff, and we clean all frequently handled surfaces regularly.
