23.01.2022 It is with great pleasure that we are able to announce that Stanmore Public School P&C was successful in securing funding under the 2020 NSW Government’s Community Building Partnerships Grants to install solar panels at our school. 17.01.2022 The Stanmore Public School community has proudly supported the Asylum Seekers Centre in Newtown for many years. Due to Covid they are in more need than ever for the help of locals to provide much needed supplies to people in need. From Monday next week (November 16) we will be collecting donations in the foyer of the office at school. Volunteers from the P&C will collect and deliver any donations to the Centre. 16.01.2022 Tomorrow, Monday October 26, is a Mufti Day. Students are invited to dress up as a favourite book character, or in the theme Curious Creatures, Wild Minds.

16.01.2022 Our school Book Drive was a great success this year. The event was sponsored by Jonathan Hammond - Cobden & Hayson who donated $3,000 towards our library and reading resources. Jonathan attended our school assembly last week to deliver his sponsorship cheque. As always we appreciate Jonathan's support and the support of everyone that donated to our Book Drive this year. In total we raised $10,240. What an amazing community we have.

15.01.2022 This month’s P&C meeting will be next Tuesday, Nov 17 from 7pm. The meeting will take place in the school staffroom following the relaxing of Covid restrictions but there will still be the opportunity to take part via Zoom.

15.01.2022 There's no time like the present to spring clean your kid's uniform drawer. Our Pre-Loved Uniform Shop (PLUS) is running low on stock and has run out of culottes. If you have good quality uniform items that your child no longer wears, please drop them off at the school office and we'll find them a new home. #sustainability

04.01.2022 It's time to restock our kitchen classroom pantry with passata to use through the year in cooking lessons. Please donate juicy ripe tomatoes, garlic and onion during our annual Tomato Festival from Mon Feb 15 to Thu Feb 25. If every student brought just one tomato, we would make enough lusciously delicious Passata to last the year!... Please give any donations to the kids and they can be left at the kitchen or canteen.

Due to COVID-19, this year the receiving of physical donations to Barnardos 2020 GFK appeal is not possible. In 2020, the Gifts for Kids appeal is going online.
