16.01.2022 For those joining us for worship this morning from your homes, our 10am service may be starting a few minutes late as we are just finishing up our AGM. We look forward to sharing worship with you this morning.

14.01.2022 Did you know? St Anselm’s is accredited by the Australian Breastfeeding Association as a Breastfeeding Friendly venue. While I know there are lots of Anglican churches (and indeed other churches and places of worship) in WA who support mothers in this way, we are only one of two Anglican churches in WA with this accreditation. The other is in Kalbarri. Seems this little (big!) critter was interested in finding out more about it today.

10.01.2022 Anglicare WA is one of the agencies we choose to support as part of our Mission Giving during August to support those agencies and organisations who do remarkable work for those who are homeless and/or at risk of homelessness. If you are currently experiencing housing issues, are homeless or at risk of homelessness, Anglicare WA can help you. It doesnt matter if you are a victim of crime, leaving domestic violence, have changing family circumstances or are a young person who... can no longer live at home, Anglicare WA will work with you to secure a stable housing arrangement. They can guide and assist you through the process of maintaining tenancy in private or public housing, giving you the space to feel safe and the skills you need to enhance and sustain your living conditions from a temporary to permanent solution. On Friday evening, 350 students and staff from across our Anglican schools participated in the 5th annual Anglicare WA sleep-out - virtually, of course, due to COVID restrictions. Funds raised will go towards supporting their Street Connect program who work with young people on the streets of Perth to help them get their lives on back on track. https://anglicarewaschoolsleepout.org.au/donate Our contribution at the end of the month will go to Street Connect as well. Thank you in advance, St Anselms, for the remarkable generosity you continue to show.

06.01.2022 Today marks the beginning of Homelessness Week 2020, part of a campaign by Homelessness Australia to ensure safe and affordable housing for all Australians and residents. Throughout August we will be collecting donations which will be shared equally between the five agencies that we support each year. Each of these agencies do remarkable work in the area of homelessness and supporting those at risk of homelessness. We will also profile their work each week during August - Anglicare WA, St Barts, Perth Inner City Youth Service, Orange Sky Project and Street Chaplains, Joondalup.
