23.01.2022 I just sat on my own last Christmas and cried. Wendy Wendy told her story of how she lost her family and how much she misses them. Being alone at Christmas can be bring its own kind of lonely. Sadly, Wendy is not alone in her feelings of isolation and loss. So many elderly are living on their own with no family to care for them. Take a moment to think about what it would be like to literally having no one left who cares about you. The STAR Secret Santa gift aims to let ea...ch of these wonderful people know that someone cares about them and that they are not forgotten. If you would like to support Wendy and so many others like her across SE Qld, please make a donation at https://lnkd.in/gFSzmbm Your donation will support a gift for an elderly person who is on their own this Christmas. Thank you. 93 year old Vel truly appreciated her gift in 2019. Over 68,000 Qld Seniors live alone (Qld Gov Statistician’s Office & ABS).
