21.01.2022 Yesterday Star Club Equestrian Program Inc’s day was made when Equestrian NSW awarded us a grant for our A Star Is Born project under their COVID-19 Club Grants. This grant will allow us to open 2-3 new Host Centres within NSW, providing equestrian opportunities and pathways to Riders with an Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Acquired Brain Injury and/or Cognitive/Behavioural Impairment. It not only represents recognition of our Program but that of Riders with these types of disabilities in equestrian sport. Thank you ENSW for your support and confidence in Star Club Equestrian Program Inc and our Star Clubbers - More stars will definitely be born with this grant.
21.01.2022 Happy Birthday to Star Clubber, Sui, and good luck for your entry in this year’s Virtus Para Equestrian Competition.
21.01.2022 "A binary star is a star system consisting of two stars orbiting around their common barycenter" and it was exactly what happened when Star Club, Mandalong & Star Club, Moonbi had Star Days on the same day... Mandalong Star Clubbers had their first Star Day since COVID; Moonbi Star Clubbers raised another $55 from mask sales; Mandalong Star Clubber's rode in the arena; Moonbi Star Clubber's drove the minis; Mandalong Star Clubbers went for a ride to see the foal; Moonbi ...Star Clubbers navigated obstacle courses; Mandalong Star Clubbers welcomed new Star Clubbers; and Moonbi Star Clubbers did some new things! BUT ALL STAR CLUBBERS DEFINITELY MADE FOR TWO GREAT STAR DAYS! Check out the photos to see what Star Club Equestrian Program Inc's two "Host Centres" and our Star Clubbers did. A very big thank you to Coaches, Jade (Mandalong) and Joey (Moonbi), our Volunteers at both "Host Centres", Jenni H for donating her hand made masks to Star Club to raise money, and our photographers of the day: Dylan (Moonbi) and Paul, Stewart & Jade (Mandalong) - as you will see they all created (and photographed) the wonderful binary Star Day. 20.01.2022 Sunday of the long weekend saw Upper Hunter Dressage Association Inc hold their October comp. This was the first time the Club offered Unofficial Para Tests to our Star Clubbers. Star Clubber, Kyle, came up against long time friend and fellow RDA competitor, Andrew, with Kyle placing second to Andrew in the Para 4.1 test. Both riders rode horses new to this test and both scored over 60% but the sportsmanship shown by these two was what made them true winners. A very big thank you to UHDA for supporting our Star Clubbers and riders with a disability by putting on unofficial Para Tests. They are truly a supportive and inclusive Equestrian NSW Dressage Association. Stay tuned for the date of their next event. Also thank you to Judge, Margaret, who came up after the comp to congratulate the boys.

18.01.2022 Three Wise Men or Three Starry M’s While Star Club, Mandalong and Moonbi were getting ready to finish the year, Star Club, Milbrodale was just beginning with the opening of the third Star Club Host Centre on 11/12/2020. 17.01.2022 Well lookie here at all of this sand. Are we making a beach ? No dear Elf, we are setting up a lovely place to teach. Is that a round yard with the sand?... Are we building a riding school? Maybe dear Elf, but in this heat, you’ll find me at the pool. #ElfOnTheStar #NighhtWithTheStars #PoetElf #ExcitingNews #StayTuned

14.01.2022 Star Club, Moonbi - Star Day 30 August 2020 After cancellations due to wild windy weather during August, Star Club, Moonbi had a glorious day on Sunday for their last of Winter (welcome spring we say!). It was a day of horse hopping. What on earth is horse hopping we hear you say?? well its having fun by hopping on various horses of course!... Sam on Bootscooter, Jude on Chester, Emma on Blaze, Sarah on Forrest, Kelly on Outback, Nikki on Maddy, Jude on Forrest, Kate on Smarty, Emma on Sunny, Sarah on Smarty, photos with horses and repeat. Lol. Not only fun, but also learning how to ride and interact with the whole Star Club Herd! Volunteer, Jenni, deserves a special mention this Star Day. Not only was she COVID Safety Officer, but she baked belated birthday cupcakes for Coach, Joey (Happy Birthday!), sewed horse themed masks as a fundraiser (raising $60 for Star Club!) and was photographer of the day - Wow, what a woman! Thank you to Coach, Joey, Moonbi Rep, Sam (who works very hard behind the scenes to get Star Days organised at Moonbi), our Volunteers, parents/carers, Star Clubbers and our horses, for making it another wonderful Star Club. PS The rumour on the Moonbi street is there was lots of laughter after the rides which was priceless. Just what we love to hear.

Thank you to our two Equestrian NSW’s Dressage Clubs - Manning Valley Dressage Taree and Upper Hunter Dressage Association Inc - for holding sections/grades at their events for our Star Clubbers and for supporting riders with an Intellectual Disability, Cognitive/Behavioural Impairments, Autism and Acquired Brain Injury. 11.01.2022 The heat is on across NSW and the 22 November 2020 was no exception, so trail rides were in order for our Star Clubbers and our much loved Horses. Star Club, Mandalong had an increase in Star Clubbers since COVID while Star Club, Moonbi had a smaller group due to a few Volunteers having a much deserved break. Nothing, however stopped our Star Clubbers, Coaches, Volunteers and parents/carers/familes/friends enjoying the day. Its very difficult to put into words the atmosphere... of a Star Day. There are smiles, laughter, excitement, the feeling of being a part of something great, support and friendship. Not only does our Program provide opportunities to our Star Clubbers but it also provides friendships, networks and assistance to our parents, carers, siblings, families and friends. Its an incredible feeling. A very big thank you to all those who helped this month. Alana and Mel for being our First Aid Officers, Maria and Rachel for jumping in to finish the Star Day, Mandalong, Lily and Mia for helping setup/packup and during the sessions, our Coaches Joey, and Vas and Sienna for successfully running their first Star Day, Gary for having eyes like a hawk and finding a missing hearing aid, Jamie and Jodin for donating $45 from their helmet cover sales, all who bought Squishies and Keyrings, our parents/carers/families/friends for all the photos taken, and our Star Clubbers for their smiles and support of each other. 04.01.2022 Star Club Equestrian Program Inc has been advocating for inclusion of our Riders since we commenced, so this is, indeed, wonderful news. We are very lucky to have Equestrian NSW Dressage Clubs already working with Star Club to ensure our Star Clubbers (and ALL riders with a disability) are included and recognised for the abilities they have both inside and outside the arena. We acknowledge them: Tamworth Dressage Club, Upper Hunter Dressage Association Inc, Quirindi and... District Equitation Club, Hunter Valley Dressage Association, Manning Valley Dressage Taree and Emerald Park Equine; and look forward to further supporting our Star Clubbers and being involved in the ENSW Social Inclusion Project with them. 03.01.2022 North, South, East and West - no matter your compass point, Star Club was there last weekend. Despite the wet weather causing us to cancel Star Day, Mandalong on Saturday, that didn’t stop our Star Clubbers, Committee, Coaches and Volunteers getting out and about on 31 October and 1st November 2020 ... North, and Star Club, Moonbi were out competing for two days at Tamworth Dressage Club’ s Training Day doing themselves and Star Club proud. To see their results (an...d their huge smiles!) click through the photos below. A special mention of our Volunteer, Jude, who offered her horse, Maddy, to Star Clubber, Nikki, so she could compete on the weekend. We are very lucky to have so many wonderful, thoughtful Volunteers, like Jude, who support our Star Clubbers. Thank you also to TDC for your support and again running a Star Club Section, what a great few days. East, and Hunter Valley Dressage Association ensured President, Stew, Secretary, Sharon, Volunteer, Rachel, and Star Clubber, Samantha, saw the sun rise when they started COVID Gate Duty on Sunday morning. A long but very successful day selling out of stress ball horses (nicknamed Squishy), raising $561, promoting Star Club and assisting HVDA. Thank you to all the riders, HVDA Committee, judges, volunteers and family/friends that supported Star Club, for all your smiles and good fun, and for being so willing to follow COVID safe policies. Thank you HVDA for having us and welcoming us so warmly. West, and Star Club, Mandalong Coach, Jade, and EPE Volunteer/Rider, Jasmine, were competing at the Quirindi Two Day Event. They flew over jumps, pranced in the arena, and raced through the countryside .. oh and got bogged (see photos). What an inspiration Jade and her EPE Volunteers/Riders are! South, at Mandalong, EPE Volunteers were looking forward to the next Star Day : 22/11/2020, and planning their fancy dress costumes.
