23.01.2022 October 19 is International Developmental Language Disorder Awareness Day. The theme in 2018 is the ABC’s of DLD. The day aims to encourage you to ASSESS your... understanding, BUILD your knowledge and CREATE awareness of DLD. DLD is the new term to replace Specific Language Impairment (SLI). DLD is diagnosed when children fail to acquire their own language for no obvious reason. This results in children who have difficulty understanding what people say to them, and struggle to articulate their ideas and feelings. Recent research has shown that, on average, two children in every class of 30 will experience DLD severe enough to hinder academic progress. DLD is often a hidden condition. #DLDABC #devlangdis #SpeakUp4CommRights

23.01.2022 These children have Down syndrome and they also have ambition. They know what they love and they know what they would like to do when they grow up Could there... be a better way to acknowledge and celebrate #WorldDownSyndromeDay than through this brilliant I Could Be Campaign launched by Down Syndrome Centre in Ireland? To Lauren and Cameron and Caroline and Kyle - and every other child with a dream - we don’t just think you could be a dance teacher, a TV presenter, a barista and an artist. We think you can! 17.01.2022 We've stepped up to Walk for autism to help create a world where no-one on the autism spectrum is left behind. We're fundraising for the children we work closel...y with and their families. We’ll be challenging ourselves to each walk 10,000 steps a day for 8 days while raising much needed funds to support people on the autism spectrum. You can help make our steps count and show your support by donating today! https://www.walkforautism.org.au//Macarthur-Children--s-De See more

12.01.2022 WHY THIS SIMPLE ACTIVITY IS NOT SO SIMPLE FOR SOME KIDS Kids that can't cross the midline may struggle in multiple areas of learning and brain development. Handwriting, reading, motor skills and easy tasks are just a few that can be affected.

12.01.2022 Happy New Year! We hope this year brings you many special moments x

07.01.2022 HANDLING EMOTIONAL OUTBURSTS CAN BE DIFFICULT The distinction between tantrums and meltdowns is important to understand because each child is different. How to respond to your child's meltdowns is critical and unique to their individual needs.

05.01.2022 WHY POSTURE IS SO CRITICAL FOR LEARNING DEVELOPMENT If your child's posture suffers, learning can come to a halt. How to ensure learning is on "autopilot" so it can happen naturally in the classroom. #OTtips
