23.01.2022 In conjunction with book week, Starkids Kindergarten had a special visit from a local Author 'Brooke Graham' who shared her children's story 'Go Away, Worry Monster'. Brooke Graham is a children’s author, primary school teacher and mother who enjoys writing picture book stories and YA fiction. She is passionate about reducing the stigma around mental illness and frequently works with Beyondblue, hosting morning tea fundraisers. About Brookes Story: ... Worry Monster loves ‘helping’ Archie worry, especially the night before he starts his new school. Archie feels so anxious that his head hurts, his tummy flutters, and his heart pounds. He soon realizes that the only way to feel better is to make Worry Monster go away. He does his belly breaths and challenges his inner fears by facing facts. Go Away, Worry Monster! gives children useful strategies to cope with their anxieties and stress, showing them how to make their own Worry Monsters leave

14.01.2022 We want children to be able to become actors of their own projects, wishes and goals. With mental health prevention support, they will have a better chance to thrive within their own environment, having been made aware of the issues and the ways through which they can help both themselves and their community.
