24.01.2022 2020 wasn’t a year without speed bumps, hurdles, challenges at every turn. With every restriction alteration was another ‘reset’ made by our junior supporters, volunteers and families. The St Arnaud Football Club extends our appreciation to our Junior leaders in Zane, Chub and Woodsy in their commitment to our ‘non season’ training runs. And when many community events were unable to go ahead for the children, the outdoors and wide open spaces were our godsend. ... Keeping the footy spark alive for many of us! That concludes our 2020 ‘season’. A big shout out to all the kids and all coaches, even right back in March, it’s a tough gig when Saturday’s weren’t spent doing what we all love. We cannot wait to see you all, your parents and supporters in the new year! Keep an eye on our social media for important upcoming dates/events as we get READY for 2021!

17.01.2022 Golf Day Update from Harley =========== The Footy Club Golf Day has been brought forward to this Sunday coming, obviously now to new guidelines and so on it makes a lot more sense to bring it forward.... With things changing every day you never know when the golf club will have to close so makes sense to get it in while we can! With the weather looking like an absolute ripper she should be a ripper of a day for a few beers and a swing of golf! 11 o’clock arrival, BBQ will be going along with plenty of beers on ice so nothing more needed for a ripping Sunday. Looking forward to seeing you all there and get the word around that way we can get a good turnout and have a ripper day! We require that all attendees adhere to the CHO guidelines at all times, particularly Sanitation, isolation if you’ve been tested and awaiting results and Social Distancing! Cheers

12.01.2022 Not 1 bounce of the footy this year, however your committee is still (safely) working behind the scenes! We will endeavour to continue to engage with our families, sponsors and the community even during COVID 19 restrictions.

12.01.2022 Expression of interest. We understand just how much our children in the community have missed due to COVID. And with the unknown surrounding our summer sports and some highly motivated coaches, committee and supporters we are offering ‘fun’ junior training weekly sessions (Wednesday’s) for our Under 13’s & 16’s. To fall in line with the current COVID - 19 AFL guidelines we require approximate numbers to ensure we have enough assistance on the park. As max 10 per group will be... in place. Please register your interest below or contact myself for further discussion. - Jamie

12.01.2022 Another great opportunity for our community to benefit from the Avoca Community Bank & Maryborough Branches & St Arnaud Agency generosity, an amazing supporter of our Football Club! Get your applications in NOW! Good Luck!

09.01.2022 The image below is very reflective of the process regarding our Junior Competition for 2020. Monday evening seen many withdrawals of NCFL clubs in the 2020 Junior Competition, leaving just 2. Today, it was reported in the NCN that our 2020 comp was no longer.... When I spoke to the parents just a couple of weeks ago it was evident that our kids ‘just wanna play footy’, I heard you, with every little bump in the road or dip in the ride, I’m still hearing you, and the parents support and kids laughter on the track every training is a big driving force. Moving forward the committee and coaches are working behind the scenes to accommodate all players and in the coming days we will release a survey for parent/player feedback. We are hopeful that in line with AFL and health authority guidelines we will see our children on LNP in a competitive manner. Now is the time to dig deep, hold on and keep the passion alive! We will get there - Jamie x

07.01.2022 St Arnaud Football Club JUNIOR PARENTS are encouraged to complete the below survey in regards to 2020. Feedback is most important at this point of the crossroads. Any clarification/questions please contact Jamie Torney. * please not a mistake with Q #1, the options should be U13’s OR U16’s, please select U14’s to reflect the older age group if that is where your child plays *

05.01.2022 It’s a little wild out there! Therefore Junior training is cancelled tonight. See you all next Wednesday!

01.01.2022 A message from Junior President - Jamie Torney RE- Junior Football. We did all that we could We never gave up, we never put it in the too hard basket, we continued to push to provide our children with a physical and mental outing, these past few months have been of great benefit to the children of our community, and perhaps some strength to prepare them for lockdown 2.0... This is another pause, a halt. Effective immediately we will not be continuing with our junior program, until advised otherwise. Many thanks for the support from our families shown to committee and coaches. We hope in the future we can all come together again and celebrate our club, players and families. Remember, although physically we cannot interact the St Arnaud Football Club (especially juniors) remains a safe place, a place you can reach out to if needed. We are all in this together. Stay safe, stay home and stay well. If we all do our bit ‘this too shall pass’.
