24.01.2022 25 Year 11 Child Studies students from St Michael’s visited 1MF on Monday 9th November. As part of their Stage 1 Child Studies assessments the students together with their teacher Kimberley Schulze prepared some tasks to share with the children in 1MF. After saying hello and introducing ourselves in the lovely Atrium area our new friends shared a story with us. We then made our way down to the oval to participate in some fun games and sport activities. ... We had lots of fun in the sunshine with our new friends.

23.01.2022 Year 4 Izzo started designing in 3D today with Makers Empire. Can you guess what our challenge was or maybe a design constraint? We are looking forward to learning how to use the 3D printers to bring our designs to life over the next few weeks.

22.01.2022 Assemblies are back but in a different way.due to COVID-19 we are not allowed to gather all together but our students had their assembly in the Stella Maris Building in grouped year levels. The students did a wonder job and some even received special awards.

19.01.2022 On Tuesday the Year 3 students took part in a beautiful liturgy focused on Creation. The students went on a prayer walk through the Kitchen Garden. It was a great way to slow down and appreciate the beauty in Gods incredible Creation. Have fun trying this one at home.

Due to the current restrictions , streamed Sunday Mass will be available to view from 9.30am Sunday morning. There will be no 5.30pm mass on Sunday. 13.01.2022 This week in Reception we are thinking like human robots and robotics engineers. We took turns programming each other and then worked together to program Bee Bots to move in a shape pattern. Then we recorded our programs.

11.01.2022 Families from our Playgroup gathered today for an outdoor excursion at our schools Nature Play. The children were delighted to be outdoors playing in the water and mud kitchen. Their parents enjoyed the day too, especially our dads.

10.01.2022 Some new treats have arrived in the tuck shop! Both the yummy yoghurt frogs and the amazing apricot balls are plastic packaging free and come in paper bags. We are proud to be able to support a local business, as the apricot balls are made and owned by the South Australian company Menz.

04.01.2022 On Wednesday and Thursday of this week we saw our fabulous Little Stars graduate from the ‘Little Stars’ Transition programme. Our ceremony took place in the Stella Maris Room and each child was presented with their Graduation Certificate by our Principal, Damian Weeks. There was also plenty of singing and dancing by the children and lots of clapping and cheering from our parents. Congratulations to our Little Stars. We say thank you to Laura Artis and Tania Condelli for coordinating the programme and to Kylie Casey and Jess Joseph for their support.

03.01.2022 Both Year 5 classes were fortunate enough to be able to participate in a kitchen garden cooking day. Students learnt about different produce, how to follow a recipe and how to work safely in a kitchen whilst demonstrating strong team work. We cooked chicken noodle soup, herb and cheese scones, spinach and feta pasties and Giannis Le Omelette. All recipes included many ingredients that were grown in our schools vegetable garden. We would like to thank all of the parent helpers who volunteered their time as this would not be possible without your support.
