21.01.2022 STARSHAK ENTERTAINMENT - KARAOKE ETIQUETTE Put your name, song/artist down with our KJ Chris. Always be nice to the Karaoke Jockey, politeness will get you everywhere! The names are lodged in order as the song requests are given to us.... There are normally 15 singers per round average. (45 minute rounds). If a busy night, you may only get two songs! If a new singer arrives they are slotted in we like to please everyone! Next Round - We then go back to the top of the queue and start again. If someone else has logged a song you want to sing, we will advise you, rather than have the same song twice. Naturally, the first person who lodged the song will get first preference. NO such thing as ‘this is my song’ they are not owned by a singer! We try to make this night as much fun as possible and after all it is ‘KARAOKE’!! Please also be aware, it is hard to for our KJ to hear sometimes whilst a singer is ‘singing’ on the stage, so maybe wait for a break to discuss your songs with our KJ. Try and be adventurous and sing a new song every now and again, this makes for a ‘good variety karaoke show’ and stretches you as a singer! Choose your songs wisely and think about the audience you are singing to! If it is your turn to sing and you decide to ask someone to do a duet with you, this is counted as YOUR TURN. We get a lot of people who get ‘dutch courage’ towards the end of the night, this might mean we may not be able to fit you in. So try and get in earlier! Lastly, always respect the singer ‘who has the stage’ and encourage and clap, you know how good it feels when you are appreciated, listened to and applauded! NO DRINKS near the Karaoke Equipment and NO TOSSING of microphones! PLEASE! We are also trying ‘themed’ nights to get new songs on the stage! THANKS FOR SUPPORTING US! WE LOVE HAPPY SINGERS!
