23.01.2022 Section Draft has been emailed to dance school representatives. Program will be out as soon as possible. We have had a fantastic response this year and need to extend to the Friday night also, so our new dates are 7th August - 9th August. We hope this is still convenient for everyone.

22.01.2022 * * * ADJUDICATOR ANNOUNCEMENT * * * We have two amazing adjudicators at Star Struck this weekend. Friday night - Bianca Chater... Saturday and Sunday - Shona McDiarmid Both of these ladies are VERY highly qualified and respected in our Perth dance community and we are very excited to share their knowledge and comments with everyone through our new audio critiques. Make sure you bring along a usb or the DancePro app to get your audio critiques after each performance.

22.01.2022 * * * CANTEEN NEWS * * * We are HAPPY to have Marilyn back cooking in our canteen this year....and yes, her yummy sausage rolls are back!! We have added a few extra items this year, including some gluten free options....and healthy options.

20.01.2022 We would just like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone. Competitors, parents, our amazing staff and helpers for a great weekend. Even with the new way to do music and a few hiccups it was a great weekend! We would like to ask what you would like to see in next years canteen? We understand it is a very small kitchen/ serving area so we appreciate your patience with wait times and would like your input:) Thanks again for making it a great weekend!

08.01.2022 HAIR / BRAIDING / MAKE UP SERVICES Unfortunately the wonderful Nicky cant be with us this year but we have made sure we still have the hair and make up services that we normally provide for our SSDC families for a fee. Both come with very HIGHLY RECOMMEND both of these lovely ladies and we fully trust them to do a great job! Please contact direct on details below: FRIDAY from 4pm - hair only... 08.01.2022 Thank you to everyone for all of the messages and interest in our competition this year. Sorry for the delay, just had to wait for Alli to feel a little better after her op. Back into the swing of things now and we will be sending all entry packs out tomorrow. Due to the very late notice due to waiting on venue confirmation through covid-19 restrictions, and having to change a few of our covid-specific rules now that we are in Stage 4 (well done WA!!!), we will need entrie...s in ASAP to make sure we give the trophy supplier enough time to provide everything we will need in time. Please return all engraved perpetuals asap. ONLY 6 WEEKS TO GO!!!! We are very excited to get stuck into programming. We look forward to seeing all of your beautiful performers on our stage. Its going to be a bit of whirlwind entry process, but it will be worth it to get our dancers on the stage, where they belong again!!!!

04.01.2022 A great post for all competition attendees to read and make note of. Whether organisers or adjudicators, studio owners, teachers, parents or performers we all have a responsibility to ensure we are teaching the children the right way to act, perform, compete, win and lose. Its not always easy, but its always worth it to keep working to teach the next generation to be good people. We need to remember that there is always someone younger watching us for guidance and inspiration
