11.01.2022 WINNERS at REELise Film Festival... We are very proud to announce that six of StarTime's budding filmmakers took out first prize in the junior division at REELise Film Festival, on the weekend. The kids were thrilled to have their film "Mineblox - Be Seen to Stand Out screened in VMAX at Event Cinemas Bondi, enjoying VIP treatment, walking the red carpet, being interviewed by TV presenters Scott Tweedie and Liv Phyland and celebrating their win in the VIP after party. Along... with their large trophy they also received a Go Pro camera to assist them in future filmmaking. Way to go StarTimers! REELise enables young people to share stories about the issues arising from an online world that impact their generation. Their focus is on supporting creative expression harnessing digital tools and platforms used by young people to make a social impact and shape a better online culture. Every year they put on this youth film festival to showcase short videos produced by budding filmmakers, to engage and inspire other young people to live a positive life online. We highly recommend other students getting involved in this great initiative, next year. They were engaged with the program and loved displaying their creative skills through the use of technology. StarTime assistants were incredibly knowledgeable, patient and provided explicit instructions and assistance throughout the day to ensure student success. The experience assisted teachers in achieving curriculum outcomes aligned with Science and Technology as it provided students with an opportunity to consolidate their learning on Sustainability and experiment with a range of technological equipment. I would highly recommend StarTime Studios to other schools to enrich student learning. Thanks for an amazing day!"
