20.01.2022 Can you handle the cuteness of our gorgeous little Sploot!? He's such a dreamy young man - lazing around at any opportunity. He is one of our motherless, hand-raised 5 week old babies. These little pups were dumped and thankfully found by a person out walking when they were just a few days old. We have no idea what breed he and he is not yet ready for adoption, enquires or applications.

13.01.2022 This little 10 month old bulldog boy was seized by a NSW rural city council as the other dogs on the property kept attacking him, it was so bad, people complained, and probably saved his life. We are glad they also took his 4 month old husky puppy friend, so he has company on the start of his new life. His name is Stallone, probably for obvious reasons. I am sure both dogs are more than happy to be starting over... Neither are ready for adoption

12.01.2022 In rescue life, some days seriously suck. This just received from our little old man's foster carer and many thanks to little Bobby his foster brother for being so nice to this old man... ************************************************************ Darling Wainu is now palliative. His kidneys are failing and he has a cancerous mass as big as a billiard ball on his bottom. It's so big it has displaced his tail. Thankfully it's not sore to touch. We will spoil and love him to bits for the short time he has left. He still loves his roast chicken,his cuddles and nuzzling into my neck. He also likes to be told he's a good boy. He still wags his tail when the lead comes out, but the walks are more for the excitement of new smells rather than exercise. Mostly he comes for a carry and a sit in the sun. He's a beautiful little soul who didn't deserve the neglect he has obviously experienced,but I'm going to let those feelings go, and fill his remaining days with love and positivity. As I write this he is fast asleep on my lap. He may not know what's ahead but when the time comes for him to cross the rainbow bridge he will know he was loved. As always my deepest thanks and respect to SODR for never saying no and always doing the right thing by the dogs

08.01.2022 * Turn away if a bit squeamish! * For those following sweet 14 yr old Silvagni's story, he came through the ops like the champ that he is. He did end up spending overnight at the vets for more observation and was ever so happy to return to his foster home this morning. Pictured is one of the lumps removed and subsequent stitched area. Thankyou to all who donated towards his vet costs, we really appreciate it. He has quite a spring in his step considering! Onwards and upwards now dear boy. Not ready for adoption

An ideal day for Swanston involves two good walksor even three! He needs around 90 minutes of good exercise daily. He spends a lot of time between walks snoozing in his bed. He also enjoys toys that stimulate him mentally such as kongs containing treats. He would love a sand pit to play in! He can get very excited at times and is still learning not to jump or mouth his humans when playing, for this reason, older teens or no children are preferred. A strong, confident parent with large dog experience is his ideal to help him continue to learn gentlemanly play. He responds very well to routine, firm and consistent rules, and plenty of loving attention. He is fully house trained and has learnt to sit, lie down, go to bed and shake hands. He has lovely manners when he sees his dinner being prepared and sits very nicely until he is told he can eat. He is an excellent exercise companion and loves to go for a run even more than he love going for walks. He also enjoys going out in the car to explore new places. He requires a good sized yard that can accommodate a big boys zoomies! Not tested with cats.
