23.01.2022 School may look a little different this term, but from Monday 13 July, school speed zones are back in operation. Stick to school speed zone limits and take care when driving near schools.

22.01.2022 Just letting you all know. I'm in lockdown for the next 6 weeks. Let's all get through this.Just letting you all know. I'm in lockdown for the next 6 weeks. Let's all get through this.

20.01.2022 Just a tip if you live and drive locally

20.01.2022 This dash cam footage shows how important it is to always be on the look out for people doing the wrong thing. Obviously the driver who caused the crash disobeyed the red light. The other cars were simply obeying the right turn arrows.

19.01.2022 Finally some good news .... Drive Tests to resume from next Monday 15th June ... please get in touch if you'd like to book lessons

19.01.2022 Hi everyone! I hope that you are all safe and well with your families during this trying time. If you've spent any time with me in the car and haven't yet left me a review, would you mind leaving a short note about your experience with me please? I look forward to getting back out on the road with you once this is all over. Take care, stay safe. Best wishes from Steve

19.01.2022 Just for everyone to stay up to date. This is the latest info for learners from VicRoads. Please make sure that your drive is covered by one of the legal reasons to leave home.

18.01.2022 This is what it looks like when a car collides with another vehicle at 60 km/h. Just imagine what an extra 5 km/h could do. This video was filmed with a stunt ...driver under controlled circumstances for an upcoming road safety commercial. Police are also currently targeting irresponsible drivers for Operation Safe Speed, so if you’re guilty of creeping over the speed limit, now is a better time than any to change.

17.01.2022 Some great news for learners

15.01.2022 Good information to make sure you are aware of how your lights operate

14.01.2022 Lots of people have difficulty with roundabouts. Check out the VicRoads video and please let me know if you need any help.

14.01.2022 Any learner drivers wanting a FREE lesson. Please contact me. Also please share this post with any other learners out there. The Keys2drive program has been going since 2009 and is a great addition to your learning experience. Best of all it's FREE.

10.01.2022 Just a reminder to slow to 40km when going past emergency vehicles with their flashing lights on

09.01.2022 Light vehicle testing is set to progressively resume from 15 June for all customers who had their appointments suspended due to coronavirus (COVID-19). We will ...be contacting you to rebook. We'll let everyone else know when new appointments become available. Details: https://go.vic.gov.au/EElfCy See more

09.01.2022 So it's official

09.01.2022 This is the latest advice from VicRoads .... Hi all. We appreciate learner drivers wanting to practice driving and get their hours up during this time. However, undertaking driving practice in the current climate is not an essential activity under the four exemptions set out by the Chief Health Officer. The only way learner drivers could potentially gain driving practice is if they making an essential trip to the shops for food and supplies, work or educational institutions.... Getting into the car purely for the purpose of driving practice is not an exemption. Remember - if you can stay home, you must stay home.

07.01.2022 We've finally got a direct advice from DHHS regarding driving lessons. The instruction is quite clear. Stay at home and stay safe.

05.01.2022 Just recieved this information from VicRoads Across the state every CSC has had brand new CLT computers installed including a newly designed Hazard Perception Test now you and your clients can practice online!... Keeping you informed Although we have currently suspended our light vehicle testing, we have launched our practice hazard perception test on the VicRoads website. IT’S LIVE NOW! This is a very exciting step forward for our customers as it provides them the opportunity to understand and prepare for the test. The practice test is not only for learners but a chance for driving instructors to have a go and better prepare their students. Go to the practice hazard test on our website "hazard perception test " give it a try and see how you go! 04.01.2022 Great news .... driving lessons are allowed during this lockdownGreat news .... driving lessons are allowed during this lockdown

04.01.2022 Just a reminder that thanks to the stage 4 lockdown we're closed until mid August. Feel free to contact me at any time just to stay in touch.

03.01.2022 This is part of an email from VicRoads .. please note that any compassionate testing is done on a case by case basis. What’s new @ VicRoads To ensure VicRoads remains committed to our customers in providing essential services to our community and to limit the transactions that require coming into an office, we have put some new services online.... Application of a concession card to registration can be done through your myvicroads accountLicence renewals do not require a new photo during this time, so you can now pay your licence renewal online or over the phone and we will use your existing imageRegistration cancellations will be coming soon.. So watch this space! Also the time to convert your overseas/interstate licence has been extended to allow for the suspension of our services. Compassionate Testing VicRoads is committed to ensuring our customers can still access licence services for those people in need This is through the introduction of compassionate testing. Our LTC’s (Mooroolbark, Pakenham, Werribee & Deer Park) will be providing computer tests and drive tests to those who qualify for a test. This is to ensure essential workers, sole providers, carers, vulnerable people or people affected by domestic violence are not further disadvantaged and still have access to obtaining a Victorian licence. The criteria and application process is fairly strict and is managed through a case management process. If customers are approved to have a test, this is arranged for them at one of the LTC’s listed above. Drive tests are being conducted in a very safe and sterile environment, with strict Safe Operating Processes in place. To enable this type of environment for our customers, VicRoads will be supplying the vehicles to ensure they have a deep clean after each test The first ‘controlled’ test was conducted this week at Mooroolbark and the feedback from the staff member and customer was amazing, so much so they contacted the Minister to pass on their Thanks This process is a wonderful achievement for VicRoads to help the people who truly need this service during these times. I have attached the VicRoads website link So you can keep up to date with the changes. https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/coronavirus Once again, have a wonderful Easter and more importantly STAY SAFE

02.01.2022 Even though we can't go out for lessons yet, just remember schools are back and so are the school zone speed limits

02.01.2022 Just recieved this advice from VicRoads.... VicRoads will grant a 12 month extension on existing computer test results recorded in the driver licencing system (DLS). Any customer with computer test results (i.e learner permit and hazard perception) that are recorded in DLS and were valid as at 25/03/2020, will have those results extended for a period of 12 months (i.e. valid until 25/03/2021).... So this means a bit of relief for anyone whose Hazard Perception Test results would have expired. Your results have been extended for a further 12 months. BUT .... I'm afraid we're still waiting for any advice for the restarting of drive tests by VicRoads.

02.01.2022 Return to Driving Lessons Just a message to let you know that I'll be returning to work sometime after Wednesday June 10th and a few of the procedures we'll need to have in place. I'm available to take bookings provided we can find a suitable time as the gap between lessons will need to be a bit longer. Please feel free to contact me to arrange this. ... I'll be very careful with wiping all the cars surfaces with a disinfectant between each lesson to ensure we can stay as safe as possible. I'll have hand sanitizer in the car for everyone to use. Feel free to wear gloves and/or a face mask if that makes you more comfortable. I'd also like to know if you're not feeling well prior to my arrival so we can reschedule the lesson rather than take any unnecessary risks. There's no word yet as to when VicRoads are going to resume tests but I'll keep you advised as soon as I know any new information. Hopefully this is the first step back to normal. Regards Steve

02.01.2022 Great advice ... especially at this time of year as the days are shorter

01.01.2022 This is a really good example of a driver who's done everything correctly before making their turn. By that I mean indicating and positioning and giving way to oncoming traffic .... BUT ... It's a harsh reminder to always check your right wing mirror before moving off as you never know what's coming. Language warning too!
