15.01.2022 Gladstone start-ups given a leg up to innovate Eight of Gladstones finest fledgling innovators have been selected for Startup Gladstone's inaugural Innov8ors program, a 24-week training, mentoring and development program designed to accelerate good innovations from concept to commercialisation. A device to absorb the sound of snoring, a regional bush medicine business in Calliope, a digital measurement device for fishing, and a new Digital Innovation Centre of Excellence ...for the region are just four of the eight ideas supported in the first batch of Innov8tors. With an annual $80,000 funding boost provided by Here for Gladstonethe joint community contribution efforts of Rio Tinto Yarwun, Boyne Smelters Limited (BSL) and Queensland Alumina Limited (QAL)Innov8ors will see participants mentored by national leaders in research and development.
