21.01.2022 We are so excited to be re-opening the swim school this coming Saturday - 25th July! Although restrictions have eased, we will remain vigilant regarding the health and safety of our staff and customers. Below are some guidelines that we ask you to adhere to whilst attending the swim school: Please DO NOT attend the swim school if you or your child have been feeling unwell;... Change-rooms and showers will be open but we ask that you minimise the use of them where possible e.g. showering at home; 1.5 metre social distancing rules apply throughout the facility and signage will inform you of this; Please use hand sanitiser on entry and exit; We’ll be keeping our own records of people on site; To help limit numbers in the facility, we ask that where possible only 1 adult accompanies swimmer/s to their lesson; All equipment and toys will be thoroughly cleaned after each use and will not be shared; Please use contactless payment methods. If you have any questions regarding the above, please call the swim school on 8272 4477 or speak with one of our team when you arrive.....we can't wait to welcome you all back!

18.01.2022 Our team wanted to share how we’re operating under the current restrictions. We’re so thankful to be open... so that we can teach your kids how to swim! Being open also means that we need to adhere to the current restrictions.... We’re allowed 1 person per 4sq metres - which means we need to limit the number of people around the pool. We’re encouraging you to drop off your older kids. Of course, you can still bring them in! For younger kids, there can only be 1 caregiver per child around the pool. If you have any questions, please chat with our team about your individual circumstances. We want you to feel comfortable - and we want your family to be safe. Thank you for your understanding. 17.01.2022 The news you've been waiting for...! We're OPENING tomorrow! (Tuesday 1st December) We're looking forward to welcoming you back following our two-week closure.... There are a few extra precautions we need to take: Our wonderful COVID Marshal will be at the desk in the entry foyer. You'll be signed in manually until the QR Code check-in system is up and running. Edit: To meet the current restrictions, we need to limit the number of people on-site. We’re encouraging kiss and drop primarily for older students. This is definitely not mandatory. One caregiver is still able to come into the centre. All caregivers must adhere to social distancing and staff direction. The following safety precautions are still in place: 1.5 metre social distancing rules Use hand sanitizer on entry Keeping our own records of people on site. Before you arrive at the pool:... Download the free mySA GOV app. https://loom.ly/KS7KAHU Download the app from Google Play or the App Store When you arrive at the pool: Open the mySA GOV app and select the COVID SAfe check-in feature. Scan the QR code with your phone's camera in the foyer. Follow the prompts. Done - you're checked in. If you don’t have a mobile phone, we’ll have a paper recording log for you to complete. 04.01.2022 Edit: We’re open tomorrow (Tuesday, December 1st). Please see our latest update. - We're so keen to welcome you back - but we're just seeking clarification as to whether it's safe to do so.... We're currently awaiting further direction from the SA Government. Once we have our updated COVID-19 Safe Plan and the new Emergency Declaration, we will confirm the restart date for our swimming programs. 04.01.2022 CORONAVIRUS UPDATE Dear Swim School Family. We've made the decision to close our pool, and postpone all of our lessons, from midnight tonight, until further notice.... We’ll be watching the guidance from the government closely, to know when it's safe to return and continue lessons. Until then, direct debits are on hold. Any fees paid in advance will be credited against your account for when we can re-open. State Swim has been a leader in the Learn to Swim Industry for over 30 years. We're on a mission to set kids up with skills for life, so they can be safe and strong in the water. We want every child to be able to swim 400m quality freestyle by the time they leave Primary School. But it's about more than just skills in the water, we know that our lessons are helping kids develop their confidence and character. THE ROLE We’re looking for someone who can learn the State Swim program, and help kids develop skills for life and confidence in the water. Our instructors help children overcome their fears, develop confidence, learn skills, develop perseverance and set them up for life. SKILLS & ATTITUDES Our instructors are: Consistently encouraging, friendly, and understanding Willing to learn and understand our swim program Engaging and energetic communicators Great problem solvers, trying different methods to inspire learning QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS NEEDED The following are requirements for all instructors at State Swim. Candidates need to either have these certificates already or acquire them before beginning in the role.
