05.01.2022 An electrical safety recall has been issued for a number of Samsung top loader washing machines that were sold between 2010 and 2013. National recall figures in...dicate that of the 39,000 recalled Samsung top-Loader machines sold in Queensland between 2010 and 2013, there are still over 4000 of these machines unaccounted for. They are a fire risk due to moisture affecting internal electrical connections. The ESO is asking people to check their washing machine and to take care when buying or gifting second hand washing machines that may come under the electrical safety recall. Samsung have been trying to identify all of these machines, but they have been unable to contact people who may have moved, changed contact details or never registered for warranty.
