24.01.2022 When you are finding a problem difficult to solve. Look outside the square. Ask others for their ideas or views. Put yourself in different shoes so you can see the problem differently. Once you step out of your current mindset or attachments to the problem you will often see a clear and unbiased view and the answer will appear. I also find taking a shirt walk, getting some fresh air or drinking water to rehydrate definitely helps as well.

14.01.2022 To change something you need to create a new habit or behaviour. It takes perseverance, determination and making the process simple. My habit I have been working on is becoming flexible again after a back & neck injury. I have been determined to swim more (which I'm not great at but my back loves it), stretch daily, regular Yoga/Pilates, taking magnesium daily, having regularly body work and most importantly being conscious of my thoughts rather than my old self-talk tha...t I'm inflexible,stiff and constantly in pain I now say 'I'm feeling more flexible my back is moving more freely and I’m feeling less pain each day' I'm determined to make this positive change a sustainable and long lasting one. I’m 4 weeks in and it’s working so far. Your new habit may be starting a morning run, walk or gym class so prepare the night before; get your clothes, even socks and shoes ready so you are less likely to make excuses in the morning. if you feel you can't do a 30 min run say to yourself I’ll do 5 minutes, you will often find you will do more than 5 minutes. Whatever new habit you want to create, it is changing your mindset that can be challenging but it's worth it to transform your life. So take it bit by bit, one step at a time otherwise it will feel to overwhelming and creating a new daily habit takes time to ingrain in our brain and body. Good luck!

07.01.2022 My 31 days of cold showers. I decided for the month of May I would have cold showers every day. Why you ask? I wanted to have a strong immune system through Cov...id and I was also doing an internal cleanse. I used cryotherapy a lot in my treatment of CFS and fibromyalgia years ago and it worked well. Even though cold showers aren’t as cold as the traditional cryotherapy cold showers: Boosts my immune system by increasing white blood cells in my body. Reduce inflammation in my body. Improve my metabolism & circulation. Assists with detoxification removing toxins. Reduced my chronic pain associated with fibromyalgia. I feel invigorated after the shower. I have improved focus and clarity during the day. Other benefits of a cold shower are that they Improve hormone production Reduce swelling & oedema Assist in wound healing Improves kidney function Lower blood pressure Regulates the Autonomic Nervous System Enhance skin tone and hair growth I do start with a hot shower and then switch to cold water in the last couple of minutes. I hope to continue in June!
