24.01.2022 CORONAVIRUS UPDATE 2 - On the 27th of March the government declared the Veterinary Industry an essential service and released the following statement: The Federal Government considers the role of veterinarians essential to the agricultural sector and therefore to our nation’s food security but also in protecting companion animals and our nation’s wildlife. As such Station Street Veterinary Clinic is still open and you are still able to travel to us. Our only request is t...hat all medications and supplies are pre-ordered and that all appointments are pre-booked. Pre-booking is essential not only so that we can support you in the event that you need to explain why you are travelling but also so that we can maintain our social distancing obligations. Once again please be assured that even in these challenging times, we are still striving to provide the best possible care for your animals and pets whilst maintaining our social distancing and hygiene obligations. If you have any concerns please feel free to call us on (03) 5997 2222 and any one of our experienced team will be happy to help. Stay safe and keep smiling From all of us at your local and independent veterinary clinic

17.01.2022 With stage 4 restrictions upon us we would firstly like to thank all our clients for their support and understanding to date and to assure everyone that we are still here for you. We will once again be running under our full Covid safe protocols. Please be assured that we are working hard to ensure that we maintain the safety of both our staff and clients. As always our primary goal is to keep your pets and animals well and healthy. As per previous instruction from The Federa...l Minister for Agriculture David Littleproud, the accepted definition of an essential veterinary service during the COVID-19 situation is: Any veterinary service that is essential to ensuring animal health, welfare and biosecurity, as well as human health and mental wellbeing, food safety, food supply chain integrity and continuity. Any service that, if not allowed to be carried out will impact animal welfare, food safety and/or security of food supply". If you have any concerns please feel free to contact Station Street Veterinary Clinic on 03 5997 2222 See more

17.01.2022 Dead, dying, colicing, bad laminitis? No! This is Calico, Dr Sophie Elphick's very own ridden mare grabbing a sneaky preview of the new Surefoot Equine Mat - Enhancing Animal Welfare Under Foot being installed in the stables. Judging by the groaning it was a yes from her and it a yes from us at Station Street Veterinary Clinic

13.01.2022 These twin heifers were delivered late last night by Dr Sophie Elphick. Listen to how happy this cow is meeting her calves for the first time Twin heifers are particularly special as both will be able to grow up to have calves of their own. A twin heifer who is born with a twin bull calf has a 90% chance of being infertile due to exposure to testosterone during her development. They are often referred to as being a freemartin.

13.01.2022 A new era of Covid "normal" is upon us and Station Street Veterinary Clinic is once again able to welcome you into the clinic. We are offering all services as per usual and can have up to 6 clients in the waiting room and 3 people in the consulting room. Masks are of course still mandatory and if you would prefer of feel safer to wait outside then we are more than happy to accommodate. For further information call us on 03 5997 2222.

12.01.2022 CORONAVIRUS UPDATE - As your local, independent and family run veterinary clinic, Station Street Veterinary Clinic is committed to providing you with the best possible veterinary care during these difficult times. As an essential service we will be keeping our doors open for the foreseeable future however we have had to make some changes to ensure that our staff and clients remain safe. Most importantly is that if you feel at all unwell, are under quarantine or self-isolatio...n, or have travelled from interstate, phone the clinic on (03) 5997 2222 before entering the building and we will assist you. In the interests of keeping our staff and clients safe during these unprecedented times, we request that all appointments and medication orders are placed by telephone and in advance of your arrival. We will also be limiting close contact times to 15 minutes and have a limit of one member of public in the waiting room at any time. We would appreciate your assistance in helping us maintain the government's social distancing and hand sanitising measures. Please remember that we are a just a group of 12 ordinary people who simply want to provide exceptional care for your pets and animals during this stressful time. Some things may take a little longer and we may have to act in ways, such as maximising personal space, that will feel a little awkward at first but if we work together we can beat this and stay safe whilst doing it.

09.01.2022 A huge thank you to our amazing Veterinary Nurse team at Station Street Veterinary Clinic on Vet Nurse Day 2020. Without the amazing effort you make every day and especially during these stage 4 Covid19 restrictions we wouldn't be able to function! Once again thank you for all that you do and hopefully soon we will be able to celebrate as a team. #vetnurseday2020 #ilovebeingavetnurse

08.01.2022 Introducing GapOnly pet insurance claims. At Station Street Veterinary Clinic we have introduced another way to help reduce the burden of vet bills. If you are insured with one of Australia's top pet insurance providers, we are now able to process claims immediately and depending on the insurer you will only pay the gap. This saves the potentially long out of pocket wait for reimbursement funds to be processed. For non emergency's we can also process pre-approvals allowing you to proceed with the confidence of knowing that you and your pets are covered. For more information call us on (03) 5997 2222 to find out how we can help you and your pet.
