She absolutely LOVES the people, the culture and the food. ... The first time she went to Peru, Beth couldn’t imagine that the experience would change her life the way it has. Being able to say she has hiked the Inca Trail, survived the altitude, seen Machu Picchu TWICE and spent a night in a homestay with a local community is incredible to Beth. 11.01.2022 Good afternoon legends, Meet Kaitlyn! Where is her favourite place on earth? Bolivia! This was Kaitlyn’s favourite stop in South America when she travel in 2013. She absolutely loved the culture there. ... She thought the entire place was beautiful and Kaity did some of the coolest things she’s ever done there including riding down (and surviving) Death Road on a push bike! She loved the Salt Flats and the desert and found it incredible that no one was around, there was no wifi and there was a natural hot spring! 08.01.2022 Good evening y’all, Meet Lauren! She lived in Banff for a year and a half and feels as though she has left a piece of her heart there. It’s her little home away from home. Lozz describes Banff as a stunningly beautiful place and she could talk about it all day. ... There’s never a dull moment with dog sledding, snowmobiling, skiing, snowboarding, ice walks, snowshoeing, sightseeing tours, canoeing, quad biking, hikes and white water rafting available to all! Tip foodie tip - The fondue at the Grizzly House!! For anyone looking for a Vegetarian or Vegan options Nourish Bistro has got you covered. You can’t head to Canada and not want to see a bear, but for your own safety and theirs, try to spot them from within your car! Parks Canada don’t mind handing out fines to anyone getting too close. In the summer, if you go canoeing on the Bow River and from around 5-6pm, keep your eye out for Beavers including Barry the biggest resident beaver. Lozz will tell you Johnston Canyon is a great hike and suitable for most fitness levels! Moraine Lake is also worth a visit but remember it’s closed from from October to May due to the high avalanche risk. It is one of Lauren’s favourite lakes! Kate thinks you should take the path less travelled and discover Jordan. She absolutely recommends sleeping under the stars in a traditional Bedouin camp, deep in the desert wilderness of the Wadi Rum. She says you can’t go past a soak in the Dead Sea and a visit to the lost city of Petra. ... Kate’s top tips: 1) Hike to the monastery before sunrise to be the only one there. 2) ‘Petra by night’ only runs Monday, Wednesday and Thursday - make sure you don’t miss it.
