24.01.2022 Today begins #16Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence. UCA President Dr Deidre Palmer offers this message. We invite you to join us each day in prayer ...for a world where all women and girls are free from violence. Dr Palmer offers this prayer for Day 1. Gracious and compassionate God, Be with all those who are living in situations of violence and abuse. Be with those whose homes are not safe places, who live in fear and pain. May they find spaces of shelter and support, that offer healing, safety, and strength. We give you thanks for all those agencies, workers, congregations, friends and family, who walk alongside women and children who experience violence. Sustain them in your hope and guide them with your wisdom. Give us strength and courage as your Church to create relationships and communities of mutuality, respect and equality, where children and women can flourish, and all of us can grow into our fullest humanity. In the name of Christ, our Liberator Amen.

09.01.2022 We are so pleased to have as guest performers at 7.00 pm on Saturday 5 December 20 Consort Cantare The Consort Cantare was established in July 2018. It specializes in a cappella music from a wide variety of styles and periods. The members are all music teachers with a passion for singing, especially choral music. Apart from the joy of bringing music into the community, the members of this group share the goal of extending themselves musically and vocally. In April 2019 Consor...t Cantare had the wonderful opportunity to participate in six master classes with the internationally acclaimed consort specialist Robert Hollingworth, the director of the famous I Faggiolini consort. A consort within a musical context could be either a small group of instrumentalists or singers and Cantare is the Italian musical term for singing. Members of the Consort Cantare: Amy Hall, Kristina Lang, Kailee Marshall, Natalie Tran, Michelle Beins, Eboney Yapp , and they are directed by Anette Kerkovius

03.01.2022 UPDATE and PRAYER REQUEST from our partners in Indonesia: "We are currently experiencing a high increase of COVID-19 cases after the new year holiday. Not only ...in Bali but in West Timor and all of Indonesia. The situation is becoming more dangerous because people tend to ignore the pandemic because of the economic fears. This week three people from our Bali church family needed ICU and only one could have it. MBM [our partners in Bali] tried hard to help them for health care access but we were too late and one person died. A minister, the husband of MBM’s treasurer is also in danger. He has been two days already in the intensive care unit without a ventilator because no unit is available for him. In West Timor, 25 of our church partner staff got COVID-19 and one staff member died. Their situation is also hard because they have lack capacity of medical equipment and hospital. The situation in Papua (West Papua) and Ambon look better than in Java, perhaps because not as many people get testing. But on our conversation with our partners in Papua and Ambon, they are not seeing more death cases compare to the previous wave. While in Bali and West Timor we are experiencing more death cases than usual." Via Dr Debora Murthy (UnitingWorld Regional Coordinator, South East Asia Regional Office) Please continue to pray for the victims and their families. Pray for our church partners across Indonesia as they help communities stay safe from COVID-19 and its impacts. And please pray for those working on the huge vaccine rollout going on across Indonesia right now. #EndCOVIDForAll #COVID19 #Indonesia #Bali #WestTimor #Papua #WestPapua #Ambon
