24.01.2022 FAREWELL FR JINJO This weekend, we farewell Fr Jinjo. We pray for and extend our best wishes to Fr Jinjo, wishing him all the very best on his new adventure and... thanking him for everything he has done for our Parish over the past 3 years. Next weekend we will welcome Fr John Paul Pasala to our Parish. On behalf of the Parish, Joe Chant, Chairperson of the Parish Pastoral Council, has written the following words: It is with a touch of sorrow that we farewell Father Jinjo who is leaving us to take up pastoral duties in Bendigo. Father will act as a Chaplin to the two hospitals and the aged care homes. Father became our parish priest when Father Morley retired and has served St Augustine’s parish for three and a half years. During this time, he has worked tirelessly to advance the faith and stature of his many parishioners. Father has supported and encouraged the various groups in the parish and was a great supporter of our first Sunday cuppa and the visit of the Dhurringile boys. He assisted the music group in all their efforts and was a supporter of the men’s choir. He assisted with the further development of our Lady of Peace Centre. We are all very grateful to Father for his tireless work in our parish. Father will be especially missed by his flock at Merrigum and Tongala. Father Jinjo assured these small groups that he would always continue to celebrate the Eucharist with them no matter how large or small the congregation may become. He was at peace with his work in these small churches. The Filipino members of the parish will all be very sad at his leaving; he really made sure they were all involved with the running of the church. Good luck and may God bless you.

22.01.2022 Great idea from Euroa and Nagambie Parish submitted by Fr Tony Hill maybe we at Kyabram can also storm heaven. Stay safe and keep sane,! Euroa and Nagambie Parishes are storming heaven I was thinking the other day when we heard that we can’t have our little Masses any more for a while, what’ll we do? Then I remembered an old Irish custom when people were ill or in danger, of storming heaven. That meant getting people to pray hard. Without doubt we’re all doing that ...now anyway, but I’m suggesting that everybody stops what they’re doing at 5:30 pm every day and prays one decade of the Rosary. That’s all. One decade. But if enough of us set aside the 5 minutes or so, we can together storm heaven. I think if we know we’re doing that with other parishioners it will help. As the Memorare reminds us Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. We’ll start tomorrow at 5:30 pm; the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord. We’d love anyone to join us. I’m reluctant to say, it’d be good if the idea went viral, but maybe by going viral we’ll help things along! See more
