25.01.2022 OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT || Congratulations to Tom, Andre and the "Wheelie Good Kids" team; who were awarded the highest fundraising team for 2020, in the Cardiac Challenge. Among all the fundraising commitments they also committed to a training schedule to complete the ride from Cairns to Cooktown. Yesterday, the Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation arranged a wonderful morning with the Director of Cardiology and Saints Old Boy, Dr Greg Starmer. The Wheelie Good Kids and their parents were shown around the Cardiac Unit and got to see first hand where all the money raised is spent. #staugustinescairns #educationdesignedforboys #WeMarists #BeMarist WIN News Cairns

21.01.2022 SENIOR FORMAL | Congratulations to our Class of 2020 you did it, you made the Senior Formal an amazing night to remember! From the arrivals at the College, to the stunning dinner at the Sugar Sheds. To quote Mr Dorahy "What a tempestuous year this has been, the Senior Formal was a roller coaster ride, from the on again, off again, on again moving of goal posts. But it turned out to be one ritzy and glitzy evening with our utterly transformed Seniors displaying suave, debonair... and gentlemanly characteristics throughout. Our Men of Saints and their partners were the epitome of high fashion. Our Seniors demonstrated what a tremendous spectacle and rite of passage the formal is. 19.01.2022 THE PLEDGE AT FOURVIERE | Today is a significant day in the world of Marists as we acknowledge the signing of the Fourviere Pledge in 1816. On this day 12 young men. The Marist aspirants, climbed the 800 steps from Lyon to the hill of Fourviere to the ancient chapel of the Blessed Virgin. There they promised to found a congregation that would belong to Mary and be named for her. Their written pledge was placed on the altar during the Mass and after communion the twelve read... out their promise, which became known as the Fourvière Pledge. The youthful group, including Marcellin Champagnat, who solemnly pledged to establish the Society of Mary as soon as they could. Many Marist pilgrims from around the world, revisit the place and symbolically sign the pledge, honouring those before them and renewing their commitment made so many years before. #StAugustinesCairns #BeMarist #WeMarists #EducationDesignedForBoys

Our Year 12 Leadership took to making a video of celebration and reflection that highlighted our wonderful Marist Saints community and was enjoyed by all.
