21.01.2022 Well done Sparra!! Your first fish for the season, and at this stage our best measured Redfin for the weekend measuring 40cm

18.01.2022 Angling club members fishing Lake Fyans last weekend enjoyed good weather for a change, but still found fishing a little patchy although some nice reddies which were mostly around the mid 36cm mark were taken mainly on chatterbaits. The GAVIN PAHL BUILDER sponsored event was won by Ken Pitt's 4 reddies with an aggregate length of 145cm. Damien Keirl was again in the points landing a Rainbow Trout as well as 2 reddies for a length of 112.5cm. Lorraine Pitt with 3 reddies at 99.5cm came third. No juniors were successful. Damien Keirls 47cm Rainbow took out the longest fish award. The next club competition will again be at Fyans from midnight Friday the 4th December until 10 am Sunday with final measure at 10:15. For catering purposes could members notify Gavin on 0476279758 attending our Xmas breakup on the 12th December.

17.01.2022 With the weather improving, although still very windy, Lake Fyans is beginning to show signs producing a few fish in great condition. Rainbow Trout are coming on nicely as well as the odd Redfin up to the mid 40cm. Damien Keirl enjoyed a good competition taking out top spot with 4 Rainbows and 2 reddies for an aggregate length of 266cm. Darren Smith again featured in the points taking second spot with his 4 redfin measuring 160cm from Tony Green's 3 Rainbows going 148.5cm. Royce Keirl with a 27cm reddy won the juniors. The ARMSTRONG CONCRETE award for the longest fish with a 50cm Rainbow Trout was caught by Damien. Fyans is again the venue for the clubs next outing beginning at 6am Saturday 21st until 10amSunday with final measure at 10:15 at the clubhouse Tony Green with a nice Rainbow Trout

11.01.2022 Harry's few beers cooking. Doing redwood today.

10.01.2022 Fishing is still slow with the inclement weather that we have been having. Our last competition was a DAVID O'JONES MITRE 10 sponsored event held at Lake Fyans, where not a lot of fish were caught, but the quality of fish was excellent. Gavin Keirlar finally christened his new boat with a win with his 3 reddies with an aggregate length of 107.5cm taking out top spot from Darren Smiths 2 reddies going 89cm. A plump reddy at 45cm caught by Darren took out the longest fish award. The clubs next competition with be again at Fyans beginning at 7am Saturday the 8th until 10am Sunday with final measure at 10:15 am

03.01.2022 Our recent Christmas Party was a resounding success, with an enjoyable day spent under the shade by the lake. The kids were ecstatic when Santa arrived by boat to give out presents. Thank you to all of the members and the families that cooked the fabulous spit roast, brought salads and desserts and cleaned up.

02.01.2022 Grampians Tagged Fish Promotion Thanks to Victorian Fisheries, the Grampians waterways have been included in the tagged fish program currently being promoted. With tagged fish to the value of either $10,000 or $2,000 being up for grabs, it puts the Grampians lakes and rivers as a tourist destination. With Rocklands Reservoir receiving a tagged Murray Cod, Lake Bellfield a tagged Trout, Taylors Lake a Murray Cod, Lake Fyans a Redfin and a Trout and the Wimmera River a Golden Perch, Wimmera anglers have a great chance to grab themselves a tagged fish.
