25.01.2022 Progressing, slowly. I love the look with a filter on the pic, just need to tame the colours so I get the look without a filter.

25.01.2022 Gday guys and girls, this page will soon be handed over to the new owners of the 2 Stawell modules. Stawell is on it’s way to Stawell! The Grampian Model Railroaders are the new owners of the layout which is awesome, it’s been picked up today and will soon find its home in the goods shed... Thanks to everyone who liked this page, and stay tuned for more updates by the Grampian Model Railroaders Peace

21.01.2022 I used to be undecided, but now I'm not so sure....... A bit of powders change the look heaps O_O

20.01.2022 Still a bit of detailing to do. Comparison to a Mark Wilson photo. Gotta dull that green down

19.01.2022 Stawell in HO layout has made it safely to its new home at the Stawell Goods shed. Might be few months before there is an update on the layout as Grampian Model Railroaders Inc are building a N scale Exhibition layout. Quick chat with a few members of the club it maybe turned into a exhibition layout. you can follow the GMR facebook page for updates on the club and other layouts The Grampian Model Railroaders Inc

17.01.2022 I thought I'd posted these, but I forgot. So here they are, raw and unfiltered :)

16.01.2022 Yep, I take a lot of photos, but I find it helps to compare with prototype pix :)

15.01.2022 Still have to put the brick capping on the tops of the walls and paint the joins in the brickwork. Seems the "to do" list size of jobs gets smaller, but increase in quantity lol

10.01.2022 That would have to be the neatest way I've ever done a road surface. Nice and clean around the rails. :D I would highly recommend this method, has been pretty stress free

08.01.2022 Things have been a little quiet with the layout waiting for scenery materials, so my lunch breaks have been designing operating signals to be etched in brass :)

06.01.2022 This is my process for weathering track before I lay it. I have pre weathered curves, bent them to shape, then sprayed, or I spray them in place. Most that know me, know I'm not one for a 4 day trek into the Andes to obtain the blood from the nocturnal chinchilla to mix the right shade of paint, at least that's what it sounds like sometimes. Interesting fact about 2 of the colours, the Colourbond "loft" is what I use on my W car roofs, and the Red Oxide I occasionally use on ...my VR rolling stock kits :) My process is - spray the whole lot grey, tape up and spray Red Oxide and mist Loft over the rails, remove the tape and again mist the Loft. This probably isn't for everyone, but I enjoy it :)

04.01.2022 Chalk that up to a fail. I think the ideas there, just need more practise with the airbrush. Probably need a decent airbrush as well, mines just a cheapy off eBay. I really want to enjoy airbrushing, but I've never sunk much money into it. I think it's time to upgrade.
