20.01.2022 Want to enjoy Brisbane community theatre for free? Oh, and you get to take a friend as well. . Back in 2013, I began a little project called 'Stay Classy at the Theatre'. It was a fun way to 'bring the EXPERIENCE back to our theatre events' and also help community theatre to promote their productions. . It works like this:... A local community theatre company requests a Stay Classy photographer to attend their opening night event and capture all the fun and excitement of their audience in the foyer. . The company provides TWO COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS to the photographer for the event and I promote the photos through my socials with the photographer’s name credited on each photo. . That simple little idea has grown to become a very busy project and I've enjoyed sharing the fun with some wonderful amateur photographers. . Now I need to grow the team. I'm getting more requests for photographers than we can all cope with. So, if you're an amateur photographer who loves to put on your 'fancy socks or bling' for a night at the theatre, send me a DM today. . 03.01.2022 Lynch & Paterson present 'THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE', this weekend, for 3 performances only, at the Princess Theatre, Brisbane, featuring a gorgeous cast including Nathan Kneen as the Pirate King. This relatively new Brisbane theatre company has proven they can create productions that are well and truly worth the ticket price ($44.90 Adult). 01.01.2022 Did you notice? Each photo in our Stay Classy photo album for Beenleigh Theatre Group Inc was labelled with a show we've certainly never heard of... "BONNIE & FREAKIN' CLYDIE". . WHO THE HELL IS 'CLYDIE'? .... I'm sorry, but as I happily followed along some conversations on these photos, from people who had enjoyed BTG's "Bonnie & Clyde" last weekend, there ain't nothing 'classy' about the language that came out of me when I noticed my error. .
