12.01.2022 The day has finally come As of 5am tomorrow (friday) we will be back trading 24/7...... woohoo!! Our staffed hours will stay the same until 10pm tonight and then will resume back to our original staffed hours.... Monday - Thursday: 10am - 6pm Friday: 10am - 4pm Saturday: 9am - 12noon A huge thank you to all of our incredible members for being so understanding and doing your part in keeping the gym clean and COVID safe during this time. 08.01.2022 SHOULD I STRENGTH TRAIN FASTED Fasted exercise increases stress hormones. This causes your body to breakdown muscle and gland tissue for energy. AND this really messes with your thyroid. Cortisol inhibits thyroid function. Your thyroid is responsible for so many aspects of metabolism, including body temperature, immune system, digestion and hormones.... Hinders performance! You won't be able to perform your best without fuel in the tank. Your doing MORE harm than good! Helpful Tip: If you train in the morning, pick something that has simple sugars and protein that's easy to digest. If you train later in the day ensure you have a good meal beforehand. If the goal is to improve body composition, you need fuel and you need not to destroy your body with fasted weight training. Happy training team
