20.01.2022 Cassie is moving out of our highschool class and into our adult group! She has been part of our highschool program for about 4 years. This means we have placements available for 2021! If you know a highschool student interested in starting a new sport or activity we will be running an intro camp next week. Sessions are Monday and Friday (at 3:45) over a two week period before school goes back. $60 for all 4 sessions, plus they will get a STWC water bottle! 10.01.2022 These kids absolutely crushed it yesterday! Marcella's first competition EVER - getting 6/6 lifts and finishing with 11kg in the snatch and 16kg in the clean and jerk. She showed such grace and confidence on the platform. I am sooo proud of her efforts. Manning has a bit more experience on the platform having already done 4 club comps, but this was his first time out of the club and at a state competition. After being a bit nervous before the first snatch he was able to focus and enjoy the rest of his lifts! He got 5/6 lifts, finishing with 19kg snatch (2kg PB!) and 23kg in the clean and jerk. Missing his final C&J attempt at 25kg has given him a clear goal of what he wants to achieve at our club comp in December!
