25.01.2022 It will be a homecoming to remember for retired Goldfields mining identity Dick Scallan. The former The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia - CMEWA eastern regional council chairman led the charge in 1999 to bring together a celebration of the Goldfields mining industry in Kalgoorlie-Boulder. That event would become known as St Barbara’s Festival and, 20 years on, it has become a staple of life in Kalgoorlie-Boulder

19.01.2022 'They may look tiny when you view them from the Super Pit lookout, but the glorious mining machinery will be anything but tiny when it roars down Hannan Street for the Topdrill St Barbara’s Parade this weekend' Visit our Facebook event to RSVP for tomorrow's 2019 Topdrill St Barbara's Parade. 16.01.2022 We see the importance of sport to the communities in which we operate, and so we’re delighted to be able to support this by bringing some of the State’s elite netball players to the Goldfields Region

10.01.2022 JOIN US for the Miner's Memorial - TONIGHT at 6.30pm. Come along straight from work, wear your high viz and be part of this ceremony to honour those who have lost their lives working in the mining industry over the last 100 years. Everyone is welcome and we hope to see you there
10.01.2022 The St Barbara’s Festival Committee would like to advise the Goldfields community that we have made the difficult decision to postpone this year’s St Barbara’s Parade, scheduled for Sunday 6th December 2020. The St Barbara’s Miners Memorial will still be held in line with government health recommendations in place at the time. The Miners Memorial will also feature a new format and feel this year. The Miners Memorial will be held on Thursday 3rd December. With crowds over 1...0,000, it would be difficult to create the St Barbara’s Parade atmosphere that the community has come to know and expect, under current health advice and restrictions. Safety is the Committee’s number one priority for our community, which is the cornerstone of the entire St Barbara’s Festival Chairperson Terry Fleeton said. We are committed to delivering the Miners Memorial, just as we have every year. It will be different. We want to make it an entirely inclusive event, especially for the families and loved ones of those who’ve lost their lives in the mining industry. The St Barbara’s Festival Committee will work towards the 2021 festival, something to rival the 2019 20th anniversary celebrations. See more
