WHAT ARE YOUR FRONTLINES? Currently my work frontline is being a new-grad psychologist in adult mental health at the hospital. 2. HOW DO YOU SEE GOD AT WORK THERE? Through the care and support of people who are amongst the most vulnerable in our community, those who are really experiencing some acute challenges. In particular, I see God at work through my role in opening the eyes and perspectives within the treating team to see the patient within the context of their life experiences, as opposed to the way they are acting or behaving in front of us. 3. HOW DO YOU WANT TO BE MORE LIKE JESUS ON YOUR FRONTLINE? Well... in so many ways! But at the moment, I pray for support with moulding culture. I could really grow in this. A book I recently read captures this well Christian ethics is ultimately about living now, as far as is possible, the sort of life we should be able to live when all things, ourselves included, have been renewed. 05.01.2022 This week we're praying for our mission partners, the Lean Family, who serve with Samaritan's Purse in the Highlands of PNG (in Kudjip) at the Nazarene Hospital. It's also PNG indpendence day this week St Bart's Kids loved the flags on Sunday! We're so thankful to God for Dave and Mary (and the kids!) as they serve God so faithfully even amidst very challenging circumstances. What a privilege it is to be partners in the Gospel! WATCH this update with some great news in ...the video update on the six premature babies who we have been praying for. PRAY also with these updates from the Leans: _Give thanks for the amazing progress of six very premature babies from our nursery; that despite increasing COVID cases, PNG hospitals are not being overwhelmed by cases. _Pray that violence in Jiwaka Province would decrease as people turn to Christ. _Pray for Endurance for our missionary staff during this testing season; For wisdom as we seek Gods will for our familys future. #partnersinthegospel #PNG #stbartstoowoomba #png #samaritanspurse
