23.01.2022 Hi everyone. Just thought I would post these photos of St Brigid's I took yesterday afternoon. How are you all? I hope our community is keeping well. I am really missing getting together with friends ,music and the wonderful food by the volunteers of St Brigid's. Currently the Crossley men's shed is still meeting each Sunday at 10am whilst adhering to social distancing rules. Stay well and best wishes. Kirsa

23.01.2022 Over 100 years ago the community of Killarney and Crossley built their own Church, School and Hall to serve as the centre of their community. Ten years ago the community bought these buildings from the Catholic Church - to keep the heart of our community beating strong! In a normal year over 150 events are held at the St Brigids precinct.. community meetings, music, mends shed, dances, family gatherings, music sessions, concerts, weddings, funerals, birthday parties and mu...ch more! The precinct is run by volunteers and they work hard to keep St Brigid's running smoothy and pay our community mortgage! This year has been a tough one. Help them out if you can by making a tax deductible donation: https://www.frrr.org.au/online_donations.php

09.01.2022 Dear Friends, We hope this communication finds you fit and well and coping with the restrictions we are experiencing at the present time. We have certainly been served a curve-ball which affects all of us in so many different ways. Our hearts go out to those of you who are struggling with health and financial restraints and can only hope that the way clears soon for us to return to a ‘new normal’. To this end, may we beg your indulgence for a few minutes to explain the po...Continue reading

08.01.2022 The past months have been a huge challenge for us. Due to the co-vid19 restrictions which commenced many months ago, we at Crossley have been unable to conduct any of our usual fund raising functions for some time. For almost 8 years we have been having regular monthly 15 minutes of fame concerts at Crossley, organised by the wonderful Carol McDonald which have been very successful and well supported. Our catering team works hard to satisfy the hungry hordes that arrive each ...month and often caters for other functions as well. In the past we have also been involved in grape picking, bbq and numerous other activities. Of course, these events are not possible now because of social distancing and other restrictions. Meanwhile every month we are faced with very substantial due for our mortgage, insurance, rates, etc, so we are faced with having to come up with novel fundraising ideas, and this 50/50 raffle is one. We must thank all of our generous volunteers and supporters who have made this raffle such as a success. Watch the video to see the winner. See more

07.01.2022 Hello Friends, your support in these challenging times has been tremendous. Let's hope that we can soon get back to seeing each other soon and who knows, maybe even able to give each other a hug. Speaking of your great support, our 50/50 fundraising raffle, where the winner gets half the prize, will be drawn on Saturday the 4th of September. There a still a few tickets available at $5 each and if they are all sold, which they most likely will, the prize will be $2500. For tickets contact any Friends of St Brigids committee member or phone 0400455105.
