25.01.2022 Dear Parents, Carers, Staff and Friends, This week is the last week that we will have Mr Colin with us here onsite as our Groundsman. This Friday, which is Mr Colins birthday will also be his last as he will then be taking personal leave entitlements, before retiring. With Covid-19 and Individual Health Care Plans, we cant gather with Mr Colin to celebrate his leaving at this time. We intend to farewell Mr Colin appropriately at our end of year staff lunch in December. So w...hilst keeping social distancing in mind, please be sure to speak with and acknowledge Mr Colin this week, before he leaves. I would like to say how much I will miss having Mr Colin around our community. He brings the Making Christ Present to the fore in such a tangible way. His servant leadership will be missed as much as his lovable grumbles and mumbles when the Principal asks him to complete just one more weird job. Thank you, Colin, for your service, your comradery and your work over so many years here at St Brigids. We will do you justice when we finally get to farewell you properly but know that we wish you and Barb all the very best in a long and fruitful retirement. We will sorely miss you! Thanks also to Mr Sunny who will move to full time groundsman at St Brigids from next week until the end of the 2020 school year.

24.01.2022 St Brigids Primary School at Nerang shared a lovely, socially distanced morning tea this morning generously provided by the BCE Gratitude Initiative. As it is Wellness Week we decided to incorporate an early R U O K day into the day as well. Children and staff were asked to add a splash of yellow to their clothing to raise awareness of mental health. It was well received and we were a sea of yellow. A big thank you to Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE). #BCEgratitudeinitiative

To secure more houses, to offer counselling and support, to provide food and necessities for people who desperately need it. Your family will soon be receiving an envelope with an invitation to donate to Centacare. Please take some time to view the attached video to learn more about the Archdiocesan Annual Catholic Campaign. https://youtu.be/Ivbp25bzGC0

20.01.2022 St Brigids Staff are holding a morning tea on Thursday 10 September to raise money for the Australian Cancer Council. Thank you so much to those in our community who have already donated generously. 1 in 2 people in Australia will be diagnosed with cancer by the time they are 85. But there is good news. Thanks to research into new treatments, the overall cancer survival rate has gone up from 49% in the 1980s to 69% today. ... Together, we can raise much-needed funds for life-saving cancer research, support services and prevention programs. By making a donation, we can fund world-class research to unlock more answers and get us closer to a cancer free future. https://www.biggestmorningtea.com.au/s/15080/14202/e
