24.01.2022 Year 6 students send a huge thank you to the P & F association for their generous donation of 2 outdoor tennis tables, soccer goals and soccer balls presented to our lovely Year 6s following their Well Being Day! The students are having a great time using them!

21.01.2022 As you may all know, Luki Smolka from Year 2W is a huge fan of the Matildas and W League and due to COVID, the annual awards this year were broadcasted online. Luki was very lucky to be invited to present the referee of the year for the awards in a pre recorded video. Well done Luki!

21.01.2022 Throughout the end of Term 2 and start of Term 3, students from K-6 have had the opportunity to zoom with Father Erick. Here is a picture of Year 4, who were so excited to re connect with Father Erick last week. They were keen to discuss with him his journey to the priesthood as part of their learning and their own faith journey.

20.01.2022 Today St Brigids raised money for the St Vincent De Paul Winter Appeal. The students enjoyed staying warm wearing their brightly coloured scarves, gloves and beanies. The stall was yet again a success. A number of items were sold to assist in raising money for this event. Thank you to all who generously supported this Appeal! The money raised will be given directly to the 2020 Vinnies Winter Appeal. #VinniesWinterAppeal

13.01.2022 Kindergarten acknowledged the traditional custodians of the land on which our school stands, the Gadigal Wangal people, by putting their feet on the ground and talking about how they can be good stewards of the environment.

13.01.2022 The future is looking bright at St Brigids! Year 1 are preparing for the future by exploring their dreams. As a part of Year 1s English program, the students came to school dressed as their future profession. Throughout last week, they used this as a stimulus for their writing, making lists of tools and equipment they may need to perform their role. The students also made information texts during bookmaking!

In groups, students from years 3-6 are exploring solutions to the questions: How can we clean up our oceans?... What is the best way to get people thinking about finding solutions to the debris issues in the ocean? Over the next two weeks we will share our progress as we work in the Learning Pit! #NationalScienceWeek

03.01.2022 The other day in Religious Education, Year 2 learnt about the Transfiguration of Jesus. The students watched a video about the story and then listened to the scripture passage. After a great discussion about the Transfiguration of Jesus, the students created an artwork which assisted them in retelling the story and sharing their understanding of the importance of this feast with their peers! #ReligiousEducation

03.01.2022 For Science and Technology each week, Year 3 visit the Learning Pit. This Term, they are learning about living and non living things. To hook the students into the new unit, the Year 3 teachers created a St Brigids Zoo where students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a range of books, photos and toys on living things. Through video, students were also introduced to their new friends for the term, Fu Ni and Wang Wang, who are two giant pandas from Adelaide Zoo.
