24.01.2022 On Monday Year 4 students participated in a fun science incursion about forces. Students had the opportunity to complete hands on experiments examining friction, surface area, center of gravity and how gravity affects objects of different weights. The presenter was really down to earth and no amount of friction could stop the students sliding straight into the experiments.

The Environmental Warriors would like to thank Mr Brian Thompson and the Crippen Family for all their hard work and dedication on this project, we are truly blessed to have such amazing families in our community. The Environmental Warriors have really enjoyed learning how to plant and care for a range of vegetables, flowers and succulents and students enjoy visiting our garden to see what’s growing. Here is a look at some of our wonderful work from this year.

17.01.2022 Kindergarten have been learning about God's creation. Children brought in something from creation for show and tell and together we created a beautiful prayer space to praise God. We also painted beautiful pictures and wrote Psalms of Praise to show our thanks to God.

13.01.2022 1B has been learning all about Creation: a gift of God's love. In the beginning there was nothing, so God made the world. He made a beautiful world, a world he said was "good!" Then God made us, special and unique, to enjoy and look after the world.... And God says we are indeed "very good!" See more

09.01.2022 A few photos to share with you from Year 1 Fairytale Day. The year 1 teachers transformed the classrooms with the enchanted forest, the magic mirror hanging on the wall, and three bears sitting in a corner of their cottage. Fun activities included making fairy bread and magic mirrors, the children looked fantastic dressed up as their favourite fairytale character!

09.01.2022 Year 2 have been having lots of fun with their learning this term. 06.01.2022 Yesterday the St Charles swimming carnival was held at Drummoyne Swimming Centre . There were some great performances in the pool and displays of sportsmanship. Event results will be shared with parents and students soon. It is a St Charles tradition for Year 6 students to all jump into the pool together at the end of the carnival - despite a few changes to this years carnival format this tradition lived on !

04.01.2022 Pop into either the school office or into St Charles church before the end of this month to view the beautiful Remembrance Photo Mosaic. The Remembrance Photo Mosaic was created with photos of deceased loved ones from our parish/school community, and is a moving memorial to all those we love who are no longer with us. Let us remember these people in our prayers.

01.01.2022 Earlier this year, Jessica from Year 6 represented St Charles at the Ryde Rotary Primary School Public Speaking Competition. Her chosen topic was 'Summer is the best and worst of times.' Jessica competed against many other schools and out of 24 contestants she made it into the final three. Earlier this week was the finalist competition. Jessica needed to present her prepared speech as well as an impromptu speech about a time she was brave. She did a phenomenal job and ended up winning the competition!!!!! St Charles are very proud of Jessica and want to congratulate her on this amazing achievement. Well done!
