24.01.2022 NAIDOC week - Always was, Always will be recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. We respectfully acknowledge the Wurundjeri people or the Kulin nation as the traditional owners of the land on which St Columba’s sits. Join us each day to read a story written and illustrated by Indigenous Australians. Today's Story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Yk9nb7fxXo

16.01.2022 A message from SWAT: Last Friday was White Ribbon Day, and what a success it was!! We had girls from every year level and every House come along, write their name on a dove and stick it to their matching House colour canvas, as you can see from the abundance of photos we got from the day. These doves make up the shape of a ribbon for each House, in order to commemorate this day, a day supporting the cause of ending violence against women. Just because the day is over, it doesn't mean the significance of this day becomes irrelevant. We encourage you all to continue to be a leader for this cause and to advocate for respectful relationships amongst all.
15.01.2022 In our most recent episode of STC Let's Stay Connected, our Social Justice, Environment and Liturgy Captains talk about how STC has recently acknowledged NAIDOC week, National Recycling Week and other great initiatives that show how we can care for creation with a special message from our VCAL students. http://ow.ly/1sfy50Cw3ar

14.01.2022 Indigenous adaptation and intimate knowledge of Country enabled us to endure climate change, catastrophic droughts and rising sea levels. Australian must celebrate that we have the oldest continuing cultures on the planet and to recognise that our sovereignty was never ceded. Enjoy our last story of the week - The Little Corroboree Frog
12.01.2022 A message from SWAT: This Friday, 20th of November is White Ribbon Day, which supports a very important cause of ending violence against women. Being a girl’s school, this day is especially important to acknowledge and to stand in solidarity with. We invite students to come down to the basketball courts/canteen seating area during lunchtime on Friday to partake in an activity to show your support by writing your name on a dove, and sticking it on the board that matches your h...ouse colour in the shape of a ribbon. This will be a great opportunity to connect with others in our community, and learn more about a very important day. We encourage you all to be a leader for this cause, and to advocate for respectful relationships amongst all, just as our students have done in previous years to create wonderful masterpieces like these!! P.S: There will be lollies.
11.01.2022 Well done to all Year 12s who sat their English exam this morning, and what a way to mark the occasion than with a congratulatory sweet treat from the St Columba's College Parent Engagement Committee.
11.01.2022 On Friday, Year 9 student, Monique Davood, took part in the 'Principal For A Day' experience. Monique was given the rare opportunity to spend the day as a principal. She was part of the Year 7 virtual induction, visited the archives, met with the Registrar and Communications Coordinator and even got to meet the architects responsible for the new College master plan. It was a an eye opening day, and Monique was a wonderful 'acting' principal.
