24.01.2022 On Wednesday our Grade 5 students participated in a long day excursion. They focused on teamwork and leadership. Judging from their work, we know that our school will be in good hands next year when these students take on their student leadership role.

24.01.2022 Today the Grade 5 and 6 students finished the football roster with the first 'Cuthbert Clash'. The students showed teamwork, determination, and great respect for each other, and we are justifiably proud of them. Thank you to the two coaches, Steve Zegveld and Sandy Clark, for their encouragement and umpiring skills. Thank you, also, to the parents and family members who have supported the teams this season. Well played, everyone!

22.01.2022 Congratulations to Jack, Isabelle, and Ellie for the wonderful way that they represented St Cuthbert's this afternoon. Rep games of football and netball were held at Dominic College this afternoon, and despite the rainy conditions they played like champions. We are so proud of them! Thank you to family and friends who attended the matches and supported our amazing students.

21.01.2022 It was all about having fun at the Silent Disco!

20.01.2022 Dear Families, November is a time for remembering and praying for our loved ones who have gone before us and whose loss we deeply feel. It is a time when we are particularly conscious of those in our parish who are grieving and all those families who have lost loved ones. To acknowledge those school families and staff who have lost loved ones, a 'Remembrance Tree' has been placed in our school admin area for the month of November. Families are invited to write the name of... their loved one/s and send to school with their child or alternatively, email me at [email protected] and I will happily write the name on a special label and add to our tree. Thinking of all those who are experiencing any kind of grief at this time, Kindest Regards, Katie Potter Religious Education Coordinator

20.01.2022 It was great to see Matt McGuinness back at our school again and we wish him well for his second year with the North Melbourne Football Club. We hope to see Matt playing on Blundstone Arena in 2021, kicking goals and being a part of the revival of the North Melbourne Football Club.

19.01.2022 Prep enjoyed a wonderful day exploring kunanyi (Mt Wellington) today. We walked from The Springs to Fern Tree - checking out Rocky Whelan’s Cave along the way. Sleep well tonight Prep!

17.01.2022 Dear Families, Please see a note from the Bellerive-Lindisfarne parish Sacramental team regarding Reconciliation for Grade 3 families in Term 4. I hope you’re having a wonderful holiday with your families! Kindest Regards, Katie ... Hi Gr 3 Families, We are wondering if there are still families that may be interested in having their child participate in the Term 4 Reconciliation Program this year? More in depth details/letter from Fr Richard can be found in your most recent school newsletter and on your school Facebook page, but some key dates for you: ASAP (this week) - register your interest by contacting Mel at the Parish Office ( 6245 0501 between 2.00-3.00pm, or email [email protected] ) Wednesday 14th October 6.00pm: (Week 1 of Term) Welcome Event- Parent information and candidate introduction. Tuesday 20th/Wednesday 21st October Faith Sharing Session One. Tuesday 27th/Wednesday 28th October Faith Sharing Session Two. Tuesday 3rd/Wednesday 4th November 6.00pm: First Reconciliation celebration. It is a tight timeframe, being completed within 4 weeks (knowing that Term 4 becomes very busy for many families we've tried to keep it snappy!) we would hope that our current grade 3 candidates would continue their sacramental journey next year, completing Confirmation and First Eucharist in 2021. If you know other families within our parish that may be interested please pass these details on. Thanks everyone. Kind regards, The Sacramental Team (Fr Richard, Rachelle, Claire, Jo & Mel)

14.01.2022 Today we were very lucky to have Nathan Ellis and Tom Rogers from the Hobart Hurricanes come and teach our Prep - Grade 2 students to bounce and catch. The students also received a wristband. The older students also loved having a chat with the players. It was a great privilege to meet them and we wish them luck in the forthcoming BBL tournament. Jump on the 'Cane Train'

14.01.2022 Congratulations to our 3 talented students who were acknowledged at the CET Storytelling Showcase this afternoon. Fletcher Gibbons was awarded Highly Commended for Grades 3-4. Madeleine Marr came in 1st place for the Grade 5-6 category and Julian Pollard was presented with the Executive Director's Award for his efforts. 09.01.2022 It's been a big final week for our wonderful Grade 6 students. You've had your award assembly, enjoyed the leaver's dinner, danced, sang Christmas carols, watched an iMovie of primary school memories, listened to the Irish Blessing song from the Prep buddies, rang the old school bell, and signed your shirts. Now it's time for your next big adventure. We will miss you but we know that you're ready to embrace the future. You go from St Cuthbert's with all our love and best wishes, Class of 2020.

08.01.2022 Our Grade 1/2s have celebrated the wonderful gifts that God has given us over the last two weeks. Last week, Grade 1/2G prepared a lovely prayer liturgy and shared their gifts with Father Richard and today, 1/2 B shared their beautiful gifts and talents in their class liturgy. Thank you to Father Richard for sharing your gift of spreading the love and good news of God with us each week.

08.01.2022 The Grade 1/2 Learning Unit enjoyed a wonderful excursion to Narryna Heritage Museum and Battery Point today. In HaSS this term we have been learning about changes over time and today we experienced what life was like in the past. We finished our day with lunch and a play at Princes Park. Thank you to our wonderful parent helpers who joined us today!

06.01.2022 Well done to all the students who participated in our Athletics Carnival today. They participated in great spirit and represented their house well. It was fantastic to hear all the cheering for their peers in the final relays. Rogers House were the winners today. This is the third carnival they have won this year - a clean sweep. Well done to all the students in Rogers. Congratulations to all our champions. Our thanks go to all staff and parents who gave up their time to make the carnival successful in a very different year.

04.01.2022 The St Cuthbert's student leadership group attended this morning's Remembrance Day service at Lindisfarne. The manner in which they represented our school was outstanding, showing reverence and respect that is worthy of mention. We are justifiably proud of them.

04.01.2022 Thank you so much to all families who have so very kindly donated gifts to our St. Cuthbert's Giving Tree. If you would still like to donate a gift for either a child or adult, please feel free to send to school by Wednesday. A representative for St. Vincent de Paul will be coming to collect the gifts later in the week. Your generosity means that there are families within our local community that may now have a gift at Christmas. Thank you again.

03.01.2022 We dodged the heat by celebrating Book Week early this morning. It was certainly an impressive effort by our students and a great way to shine a light on the joy of reading. Well done, everyone!
