25.01.2022 Congratulations to all staff and students on the great work being done through online learning. I enjoy hearing about and seeing some of your learning. In celebrating St. Dominic’s Day with crazy masks, hair, costumes and more this week, your creative activities looked like lots of fun. Well done Samantha and Trisha on your great postersVery creative! I was very impressed with our student school leaders William, Rashmi, Frans and Arpita leading the online assembly last week. You are all amazing! So much learning is happening in different ways and you have taken up the challenge. Be proud of what you are achieving, and Let Your Light Shine. Remembering everyone with love as my thoughts and prayers continue for you and your families. Miss Gayle

23.01.2022 Dear Prep Families, We are so very proud of all of our students coming online to their Google Meets every school day! Amazing work girls and boys! We have been very impressed with students using their computers and iPads or tablets all by themselves! It is great to have families close by while still letting their children think of their own answers just like they do at school. We think our Prep students are very clever! They often think of much more interesting ideas than we can! Keep up the great work everyone! Girls and boys, your happy faces make each day more special! See you tomorrow, Miss Lennon & Mrs Russell

10.01.2022 Today we celebrate the birth of Mary. We ask for her intercession to keep us safe. Help us Mary to be faithful examples of your love.

10.01.2022 Today we celebrate World Day for Migrants and Refugees a time when we as a Church, celebrate the gift of migrants and refugees and draw attention to the pligh...t of our brothers and sisters around the world who face persecution and displacement. In his message for the day, Pope Francis has encouraged us to say this prayer inspired by the example of St Joseph who was forced to flee to Egypt to save the child Jesus: Father, you entrusted to St Joseph what you held most precious: the child Jesus and his Mother, in order to protect them from the dangers and threats of the wicked. Grant that we may experience his protection and help. May he, who shared in the sufferings of those who flee from the hatred of the powerful, console and protect all our brothers and sisters driven by war, poverty and necessity to leave their homes and their lands to set out as refugees for safer places. Help them, through the intercession of St Joseph, to find the strength to persevere, give them comfort in sorrows and courage amid their trials. Grant to those who welcome them some of the tender love of this just and wise father, who loved Jesus as a true son and sustained Mary at every step of the way. May he, who earned his bread by the work of his hands, watch over those who have seen everything in life taken away and obtain for them the dignity of a job and the serenity of a home. We ask this through Jesus Christ, your Son, whom St Joseph saved by fleeing to Egypt, and trusting in the intercession of the Virgin Mary, whom he loved as a faithful husband in accordance with your will. Amen. Read Pope Francis' full message here: bit.ly/MigrantRefugeeSunday2020

05.01.2022 This week, Australians celebrated NAIDOC week, which is a week devoted to celebrating and acknowledging the First Nations people of Australia. Each day, we at St Dominic’s school, acknowledge the traditional owners of the land upon which we live, learn and play. We acknowledge that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders were and remain the custodians of this land. We thank them for their stewardship. This jigsaw was completed by the children who have recently arrived in Austr...alia. At the beginning of each lesson this week, we listened to music from indigenous artists whilst we reflected upon the benefits we have gained from living on this land. We made connections between their experiences and ours. The theme for this year is ‘Always Was, Always Will Be’...May we work together, as our children do, in unity, with respect whilst holding a vision for the future and an understanding of the past.

05.01.2022 Many parents have expressed concern about their children spending too much time online. Please see the link below for help with this. https://drive.google.com//14jJJzev-jth6Wc7tmI6bmeYvM/view
