12.01.2022 Police are appealing for public assistance following the assault and attempted robbery of an 83-year-old woman in Moorebank last week. Mrs Lorrette Doueihi was... walking along Nuwarra Road, Moorebank, about 8am last Wednesday (28 September 2016), when she was approached by an unknown woman. Police have been told that Mrs Doueihi was pushed to the ground by the woman who attempted to steal her handbag. The younger woman was unsuccessful and ran from the scene. Emergency services were contacted and Mrs Doueihi was taken to hospital with facial injuries including a suspected fractured nose and extensive bruising to her face. Officers from Liverpool Local Area Command have commenced an investigation and are appealing for the assistance of the public. Police are looking to speak with a woman who may be able to assist them with their inquiries. The woman is described as being 20 to 30 years old, Caucasian in appearance, wearing dark clothing, boots and possibly carrying a backpack. Liverpool Local Area Command Crime Manager, Detective Chief Inspector Ken Hardie, described the attack as cowardly. This is a cowardly and disgraceful attack on an vulnerable elderly woman. It is a low act and we need assistance from the community to identify the person responsible, he said. Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area or knows the identity of the woman to contact Liverpool Local Area Command through Crime Stoppers. 09.01.2022 WANTED PLEASE SHARE Wanted for badly beating a school boy in broad daylight Monday 1/8/16 3:45pm Cooper Road Epping VIC Any info call 1800 333 000 This "man" w...alked across a road and tackled the school boy then started beating the schoolboy at 3:45pm on Cooper Road Epping Victoria. He was attempting to rob him of his wallet, phone and bag. The beating he gave him only came to an end when an off duty nurse drove past and pulled over her car. She then ushered the injured boy into the car and the attacker ran off. During the exit he threw the wallet back at the boy. Sadly it took an off duty nurse to stop the beating, several other school kids were walking past and countless cars drove by and drove on. We at FACAA wish to highly commend the off duty nurse for her brave actions. The nurse said of the incident "I noticed there was a school boy in a school uniform and an older man on top of him trying to, what appeared to be, rob him," the woman said. "I kept yelling at this person who was attacking the boy, this little boy. "He was quite aggressive initially, then tried to flee with (the boys) wallet and belongings." "Thats just what I do. I saw someone who needed my help so I stopped," she said. The woman was able to provide police with information on the man, helping to compile an identikit of the attacker.
