16.01.2022 Yesterday I married the love of my life!!! It was such an amazing day celebrating with our closest family and friends!

16.01.2022 It always makes me so happy when Jax asks me to use one of my activities! He started by matching all of the object cards and even teaching his little brother the beginning sounds we then moved on to the CVC word cards, swipe to see his happy face when he wrote his Daddy's name The last couple of weeks he has been completely burnt out kindy is hard!!!! He's so excited to spend school holidays with just me I'm planning some really exciting outings, as well as some quiet time at home using our resources to get prepared for next term any plans for your family?!

15.01.2022 Some sensory play this afternoon! the Ferris Wheel is fun in itself! But to change it up we used some colourful glitter to practice writing the letter that landed on the arrow.. it was fun and different for Jax and held his attention for quite a while! Plus, the glitter just wipes straight off the glossy board check out that spin!!! Jax update: both his teacher and school councillor have done thorough assessments, concluding that his anxiety is a massive factor in his nervousness with change, difficulty concentrating and overall fear of getting in trouble! it's been a struggle trying to work out how best to help him, but every day that he has a good day is a relief!!! I want to share this journey, mainly for other parents with children with anxiety. I never thought much about kids having anxiety. But it is really common!!

10.01.2022 SNEAK PEEK NEW mindfulness + reflective journal .. "BIG mind in little ME" I could not choose my favourite pages to show you, and I didn't want to show too many ... This was a project I began planning over a year ago. My motivation for this sparked with Jaxons increased anxiety and struggles with emotions. This guided journal will cover: Daily entries + reflections Emotions + The colour of emotions Coping strategies + techniques Sharing worries + fears Bullying Emotion + behaviour scenarios Affirmations How many times do we ask our kids "how was your day" .. but the answer is just "good" or we are busy doing other things as we discuss our days, like eating dinner! The intention of the journal is for it to be a shared journey. To write down our child's answers and promote the understanding to them that: " I AM UNDERSTOOD " " MY FEELINGS ARE VALIDATED " " I FEEL SAFE " Most importantly, the re-occurring pages aim to show growth and development throughout your child's journey! I am hoping to have this hot in from the printers before our Xmas cut off, because it's such an amazing resource to start at the beginning of the school year!!! I never planned for a re-print in 2020, to be honest i set out not really knowing how well it would sell at all!
