10.05.2022 [ PERIMENOPAUSE ] Keep scrolling boys, us girls are going to have a little chat about perimenopause For those that have known me my entire life, most of it or really any period of time prior to about 6 months ago will know that I have dead straight, wash and go, predictable, non frizzy hair.... Not anymore. Welcome perimenopause. For the last 6 months I have been blow drying my hair straight because all of a sudden I have no idea what to do with it, it is wavy, frizzy and unpredictable. I have never been a girl that uses hair products, is nifty with a round brush or has ever used a straightening iron so I was absolutely at a loss . Thanks to some much needed advice and introduction to Clever Curl by my lovely niece and the girls at Kepnock Hair I am getting the frizz and waves under control and I am stressing much less about my new hair. So after chatting with family, friends, my lovely hairdresser and a quick google search apparently this, what feels like overnight change, may be due to perimenopause so I am on a mission to find out more and have just purchased a ticket to Mia Freedman - Mamamia Co-founder's Online Very Peri Summit, I will pop a link below. With experts covering topics such as Is it peri or am I just a horrible person? Surviving mood swings. I can’t sleep and I’m hot all the time. Make it stop. The best natural treatments for peri (and which ones are a waste of money). My body feels out of control. How can I stop gaining weight? What actually IS perimenopause and how do I know if I’m in it? Hopefully I can find some answers and start preparing for whatever this next adventure brings. I would love to know if you are going to the online Very Peri Summit or if you decide to purchase a ticket, we can compare notes, symptoms or just whinge, complain, rejoice and celebrate the complexities of being female. https://www.veryperisummit.com @Kepnock Hair @Clever Curl

12.04.2022 [ LOCAL BUSINESS SHOUT OUT ] Last week I had a little situation and the interior of my car had to be detailed ASAP After frantically ringing a few places only to be told they were fully booked for at least a week thankfully Oliver from Oliver's Hand Car Wash Bundy told me they could squeeze my car in.... All I can say is WOW, just simply WOW. I have never had the interior of my car detailed before but OMG it is amazing. It is like having a new car. I am soooo in love with it that I wouldn't let Mr16 L plate driver drive it as it was like having a new car and I wanted to enjoy it all to myself Oliver is amazing, super friendly, efficient, accomodating and well makes older cars look absolutely new again

25.03.2022 [ LEMON, VINEGAR & BAKING SODA ] What do these three things as well as hydrogen peroxide have in common??? Answer: They all remove sweat & deodorant stains from clothes.... Thanks to @nivea_anz see instructions below. 1. HYDROGEN PEROXIDE Soak the stain in equal parts hydrogen peroxide and water. Remember that, hydrogen peroxide has bleaching qualities so this method is only suitable for white clothes. 2. BAKING SODA Mix baking (or bi-carb) soda into a paste in a 3:1 ratio with water and scrub into the stain with an old toothbrush. You can also add a dash of hydrogen peroxide for an extra boost on white clothes. And, if you don’t have baking soda around, pure plain soda water will do the trick, too. 3. WHITE VINEGAR Combine two tablespoons of vinegar with one cup of water and soak clothing. 4. LEMON JUICE Simply combine lemon juice with an equal amount of water and scrub it into the stain. After you’ve applied the liquid or paste to the stain, let the clothes sit for at least an hour before you wash them in hot water.
