09.01.2022 Did you receive your Queens badge in the current reign of Queen Elizabeth. The first was presented in 1953 and up until 1962 they were presented in company. It was only in 1963 that the presentations were at Government House for presentation by the Queensland Governor. We know of some who were in the first 10 years (1953-1962) but not all as these records have been lost. Can you help with identifying these men.

Time: 6pm for 6.30pm Cost: $20.00 per head Parking: Free parking available directly behind the hall off Lambton St. Guest spearker: Rod Adam is our Guest Speaker. Rod grew up in a Boys Brigade environment, joining Life Boys at the age of 9. He passed through the ranks earning his Queens Badge in 1967. Rod also served as a company captain, firstly at 21st Brisbane at The Gap Baptist Church for, approximately, 10 years and, secondly, at 4th Pine Rivers at Samford Uniting Church for 17 years. Having previously served on State Executive for 13 years in the roles of No.2 Section Director and Training Director, he went on to become B.B. Queensland President from 2001 to 2007. For 2 years, now in retirement, he served as B.B. Queensland General Manager. More recently, Rod has undertaken trips to help the development of Boys Brigade in the South Pacific three times to the Solomon Islands and twice to Tonga. Rod graduated as a High School Science teacher in 1971 seeing service at Longreach as well as Brisbane High schools where he taught Science and Maths, in later years becoming a Student Counsellor. It is extremely important to R.S.V.P for catering purposes.
