02.04.2022 St Edward’s Chess Club Concentration levels were HIGH and focus was STRONG with our guest appearance Dr Jake at yesterday’s chess club. Our primary Chess club meet every Wednesday lunch in the music hub.

23.03.2022 Today we welcomed the Year 9 and 10 PASS class from McCarthy Catholic College along with their wonderful teacher Mrs Ashleigh Jones. Students in kindergarten worked with their "big buddy" to focus on the gross motor skill of balance. This partnership with McCarthy will continue fortnightly for the term. Thank you so much to MCC for being part of our team!

25.01.2022 Kindness & Gratitude Week. A week of celebrating and giving thanks for the wonderful staff, students and families of St Edward's. We may have been through some tough times due to COVID, but nothing will stop us from remaining strong, having fun and making sure the St Ed's School Spirit is alive and well! St Ed's Rocks! 24.01.2022 Well done to the following Year 4 students Isabel, Imogen, Leah, Savannah, Anika and Macey who organised and ran the St Edward's Running Grand Prix. These girl came to Mr O'Toole a few weeks ago with a proposal and after getting approval ran the event. Isabel even researched and purchased medals for the event. Thank you girls for showing such great initiative.

23.01.2022 FAREWELL YEAR 6. Our students are the centre of all we do. Developing high quality relationships with students and parents is a crucial part of our work to ensure we offer personalised learning to make a positive and lasting difference for all our students. It is therefore extremely difficult at this time of year to say goodbye to our Year 6 students. We wish all our Year 6 students every success as they move into High School.

Whilst this is true, we have also discovered that all you need to re-enact the Abbey Road Album cover are some persistent Year 6 Beatle fans, 1 Assistant Principal Beatle fan (to fill in for an absent student) a camera man and the patience to wait for no traffic on HIllvue Road. 11.01.2022 A very early start this morning, but Year 6 arrived on time in Coffs Harbour and are enjoying their first stop on their excursion at Tree Tops Adventure Park.

10.01.2022 Year 6 have been learning about probability. Part of the learning was to make a game of chance using their knowledge of probability and frequency. Today Yr 3 visited to test out their games and try their luck at winning a prize.

09.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day to all the Dad's, Grandfathers, Great Grandfathers and Father Figures out there! God our Father, we give you thanks and praise for fathers you...ng and old. We pray for young fathers, newly embracing their vocation; may they find courage and perseverance to balance work, family and faith in joy and sacrifice. We pray for our own fathers around the world whose children are lost or suffering; may they know that the god of compassion walks with them in their sorrow. We pray for men who are not fathers but instead, mentor and guide with fatherly love and advice. We remember fathers, grandfathers and great grandfathers who are no longer with us but who live forever in our memory and nourish us with their love. Amen.

08.01.2022 Director of Schools Chris Smyth has announced the appointment of Dr Jake Madden to the position of Principal at St Edward's Primary Tamworth. Jake has been a pr...incipal for over 24 years, and his extensive experience as an educational leader includes primary, secondary, Catholic and international settings. Jake is currently the Executive Principal at Al Yasat Private School, Abu Dhabi. His previous principalships include Dar Al Marefa Private School, Dubai; St Augustines School, Coffs Harbour; St Josephs School, Mackay, St Josephs, Wee Waa and St Josephs, Mungindi. We welcome Jake and his wife Annie as they return to the Diocese of Armidale!

It is important that all students wear clothing that enables them to undertake sporting activities as well as closed shoes, a brimmed hat or cap. Please ensure any clothing worn is appropriate for school activities. Eg No midriffs, singlets or inappropriate motifs or slogans.
