25.01.2022 The 2020 AGM will be held today Saturday 8 Feb 20 at the Wickham Park Hotel at 1230 pm. Good numbers are needed or there is no pizza! Please note that nominations are required for key club committee positions. Agenda items will be called for but they will include a review of Club Divisions, rules for the Old Mal and much more. We need your attendance to make the club viable to continue. See you all there.

20.01.2022 it was fine and sunny with some fun waves for the September comp. Apparently it was hangover day for many as numbers were down but it was still a great day. The next contest will be held on Sunday October 9th..see you then. Also, Brains has organised a river cruise for Sunday November 6th..It goes to Raymond Terrace and back...should be good day...cost is $74 per person...you need to give your names and money to Brains by the October contest

13.01.2022 This Sunday November 11, the Steel City Malibu Club will hold it’s Club Contest at Dixon Park from 7a.m. We’ve had the worst run ever with the surf and weather causing a number of events to be cancelled. Hopefully everything will come together this month. Hopefully the the new club t shirts will also be available for members who ordered them. There’ll also be a limited number of white t shirts for sale at $30......hope to see you Sunday..

The committee looks forward to what the new year brings, it would be great to see some new faces come along to our monthly comps. Membership is a reasonable $40 per year, $5 per comp to surf. ... 2019 Club Championship. The 2019 Club Championship will be held on Sun 9 Feb 20 at Dixon Park The 2020 season opening function will be held at the Wickham Park Hotel on Saturday 1 Feb 20 at 1230 pm. 10.01.2022 Wow, where to start.. Tony is one of the few people left in the world that will stop and help someone stranded on the side of the road. I was towing my trailer ...and the tyre went flat. After already changing to the spare tyre earlier, I was a little stuck on a main road in Newcastle. Tony stopped and offered to lift the trailer on his truck and take it home for me. Tony is a true Aussie legend! Thanks again Tony from all of us Steel City Malibu Club

01.01.2022 Colleagues, Due to the conditions last weekend, a decision was made at the AGM to postpone the February point score to Sunday 16 Feb 20. After that decision was made, the club committee has been made aware of a Newcastle Council running/marathon event being held at Dixon Park on Sunday morning (16 Feb 20). Given that the Council closes the car park and restricts traffic movement around the area, a decision has been made to cancel the February point score. Coupled with the Council event are the less than favourable weather and surf conditions reports issued by the Bureau of Meteorology predicting showers and waves in the 3m range.
