18.01.2022 Save the date: The AGM will be held on 29th September 2020 at 7:30pm. Nomination forms for committee roles will be available on 17/9/2020. POBC need your help. The club is in a great position to resuming on-court action and we have an exciting future ahead. Nominations close 5 days prior to the AGM.... Nominations are available for all roles as per our constitution (13 positions) - President - Vice President - Secretary - Treasurer - Venue Manager - Director of Coaching - Venue Staff coordinator / HR manager - Community liaison - Boys Team Coordinator - Girls Team Coordinator - Team/ Training coordinator - Registrar - HR/ purchasing coordinator Please feel free to contact [email protected] for any role descriptions. 17.01.2022 IMPORTANT: Thank you to those who have fille don't the google form to outline your playing status for winter 2020 should a season start early TERM 3. You have until 5pm Sunday to complete this. Those players not marked as interested in playing will be considered as not available for selection.... Selectors will be working hard over the coming days to rework our teams for a modified season. Late submission may mean that your child is not able to be placed in a team. The form it can be found at https://forms.gle/mM1rXX4MXwvniva88 We will also require expressions of interest for NEW coaches as we have several coaches who are unable to coach. This is a great, short, fun season that could be your introduction to getting involved in your kid's sport.

16.01.2022 POBC are working hard to get you back on court - whilst the EDJBA are looking at November 28th, we need to wait for Government direction, keep an eye on this page for updates.

15.01.2022 Families- you may have seen that Basketball Victoria has announced an increase in numbers of up to 50 people in court. The issue POBC has is that our school venues are still unavailable at this stage, and EDJBA will close off entries prior to us gaining access to all our stadiums. We will announce over the coming days some exciting plans of what the Steelers will be doing pre-Christmas and in Term 1 2021. Our plan is to get kids back on the court ASAP, we just need to work through me logistics prior to announcing.

09.01.2022 The committee is working very hard on a safe return to basketball. We will announce later this week our plan for getting our players back on the court. Please keep an eye on Facebook and also your email.

06.01.2022 The plans for the 3 on 3 Hustle comp are taking shape. Teams of 4 players. It will start the first week of February and run for 5 weeks. The games will run mid-week- most nights teams will play 3 or more games.- to read more visit our website https://tinyurl.com/ydddrdre 3 on 3 is now an Olympic sport and a great way to get players back to basketball in 2021. ... The entries will open over the coming days- start planning teams of 4. If we enough players we will also open U18 and U21 comps. We are also looking for: -anyone who is keen to start reffing- we plan to have qualified refs and also use this as a training platform for new refs - any businesses who may be keen to have naming rights and sponsor the 3 on 3 Hustle at the steelers. 05.01.2022 The committee is working hard to formulate our position for a winter season. The plans from the EDJAB look at a term 3 season at this stage based on any government changes. There are a lot of issues that need addressing in order for venues and games to be open and proceed to ensure a safe environment for everyone. We will update you by Wednesday next week.

03.01.2022 It is disappointing to see too many people in our local areas not following the rules over the past few days. 1. Wear a mask in ALL public places 2. You can exercise with one other person ONLY at 1.5m (don't congregate) too many people are group gathering at our ovals. 3. No contact with others. No tackling, no hugging, no exceptions!... 4. Pick up dog's poo on the ovals !!! It's getting ridiculous at Domeny and Stinton's. It is that simple people'! Don't get complacent we are only 1 week into Stage 4. Parents, it's your job to ensure your kids are following the rules. at all times. Please keep our community safe. Can other sporting local clubs please share so that we stop these people ruining it for everyone. We don't want more cases in our area nor do we want Stage 4 until the end of the year. #StopTheSpreadOfCOVID19

02.01.2022 We have sent out an email to all parents who registered their kids to play winter season 2020. We are asking for an updated commitment should a season proceed in Term 3. We ask all responses to this is done asap (prior to 5pm Thursday at the latest) so the committee can work out any logistics with team numbers, selections, grading etc should the season proceed. This concept is only provisional at this stage pending the COVID changes in Victoria. As we get more information we will make this available to all members and families.
