23.01.2022 Choir picnic for Nakinna's birthday. So good to catch up with them.

23.01.2022 We never know what to expect when we rock up to some jobs. Before and after.

22.01.2022 What a magical day. Today we did the hike and stopped at every point of interest along the way. I'm proud to say, we made it to the end...... And back. If you're ever passing through Crows Nest, allow half a day to this. We had lunch at the summit.....what an incredible view. May have to enlarge one of these pics. For me, this has been an absolute highlight of this trip. Exhausted now. Supplies are getting low, so we only had a teaspoon of milk each for coffee, but we still had a chocolate brioche each for afternoon tea. Battery almost dead. Moving on tomorrow for our last stop.

20.01.2022 After a very enjoyable stay in Brisbane, catching up with our kids, it's time to move on. We kind of had a plan and within 5 minutes of driving have already taken a wrong turn. So it looks as though the universe is in control again. Since we are leaving quite late, we will drive until 4pm and decide where to stay at that point.

20.01.2022 Before and afters aren't as dramatic when you only have a short time to work. Strict time allowances for some clients. However, we were entertained while we worked...... Or maybe we were the entertainment.

20.01.2022 We may be just moments to home, but we have chosen to explore this area in a bit more detail. With laundry, hot showers and comfy bed.

19.01.2022 Another wonderful day. Woke up to a mob of kangaroos on our 'patch'. After spaghetti on toast and coffee, we left our camp for an explore. We went to Esk and had coffee. Looked in the shops and at a pre-loved shop, scored a backpack that will be perfect as a tent bag. Went up to the lookout. From there, we did a big loop to Fernvale, had a pie then back to our camp. On the way 'home', saw something big on the hwy, not sure what, but hope they're ok. Spent the afternoon fi...shing.... No dinner:( Now time to set up the campfire and have marshmallows while we watch the sunset. We've decided to move on tomorrow......... Update..... We just got neighbours....... There's the whole park.... And they are setting up next to us. Unbelievable!!! See more

17.01.2022 Big job ahead of us. We've decided to start at the front and work back. Gonna take some doing but the owner has entrusted us to go back for a weekend, set up camp and go hard all weekend. Not sure when this will happen.... Possibly not this year since we have booked every day until the end of the year.

12.01.2022 Today we were house removalists. We are so blessed to work with such delightful people.Today we were house removalists. We are so blessed to work with such delightful people.

12.01.2022 Here's something new....

12.01.2022 This will do nicely for a couple of nights.....and yet again, we have the whole campground to ourselves. Winning.

11.01.2022 Please join me. Let me know you have paid, and I'll send you the link

09.01.2022 Thankyou to everyone in the area who has supported us and booked us for either regular or odd jobs. We proudly work alongside NDIS, MY AGED CARE clients, as well as general public. At the moment, we are totally booked out until the end of September. If you are needing a quote for non urgent jobs, we can come and have a chat and possibly book you in from October.

08.01.2022 Trudie here Bit of a slow start this morning because Louise had a Migraine that we had to deal with before heading out. Sorry we didn't post much yesterday, Louise's phone was rolled up into their sleeping bag and put into a vacuum bag. We could hear it beeping all day.... Probably why she got a migraine...... Withdrawals. So yesterday we left Crows Nest Falls. We stopped for a milkshake at McCoy's cafe Cooyar. Then we turned right off the New England Hwy to a sign that ...directed us to The Palms National Park. Lovely rainforest circuit. We continued on the back road and thought we would stay at Yarraman, but there was nothing there that tempted us. The options were, left to Bunya Mountains or straight to Nanango. We went straight. Even though this is literally within an hour from home, we decided to explore this area a bit more. As Louise said last night, we decided on a cabin at Homestead Caravan Park. Hot shower, laundry and comfy bed. We did our washing and hung it all over the cabin. It looks like a bomb hit it. Anyway, this morning, we have clean, smoke free, dry washing. Last night we managed to get into the Kingaroy Observatory. It was a great show. We saw lots of clusters and nebulas. It's un-bear-ably difficult to comprehend that the light from some of these has taken 230million years for the light to reach us. Way to much for my little brain to comprehend. Goodness..... Not even my ancestors were roaming Gondwana Land back then. We got to see Jupiter and the 4 moons as well as Saturn. Wow! Seeing that actual planet, and the rings...... just incredible. The icing on the cake is that Louise may be booked to do some big "Star" events in the near future. That brings us to 11.30am on Saturday. Breakfast at Reds seafood, Nanango (one of Louise's migraine fixit foods is fish). I have a babycino and freshly caught river salmon (well that's what the hoomans told me) and breaky has arrived..... So........ To be continued...... See more

08.01.2022 When we work for one of our regular clients, our day can involve many interesting jobs. Today Louise is painting, scrubbing rocks and weeding, while Stefan is building cabinets and putting up a pergola. We love our work and the people we meet along the way.

08.01.2022 Today we a more usable created space in a lovely lady's kitchen. Now, she has drawers, instead of having to struggle to bend down and get something from the back of the cupboard. No more lost crockery. This is a must for every older person's home.

07.01.2022 Took us 5 hours to travel what usually takes under an hour. Exploring places on our doorstep. Gordonbrook Dam is about half an hour from home. It's been a great holiday.

06.01.2022 OUR NEW POLICY This is valid until 31 December 2020 PLEASE NOTE: (sadly we have had to incorporate specific details into our invoicing thanks to people who have abused our kindness and trust)... If the job is done under the quoted time, the job is charged at the quoted price. If the job is going to take longer than the quoted time, this will be discussed with the client to see if you wish to progress. If you would like us to continue, you will be charged the quoted rate per hour or part thereof for each extra hour worked. If you are quoted for one person to do the job, but this changes to requiring two people, you will be notified as soon as possible so an agreement on price can be arranged. (1 person = $50/hr. 2 people = $100/hr) (We are not into ripping people off. We pride ourselves in our work and your satisfaction) Travel costs may be incorporated into your quote. Travel from Goomeri to the job will be charged at $50/hour or part thereof. Return travel from the job to Goomeri will not be charged unless the job is more than 60km from Goomeri, in which case you will be charged $50/hour or part thereof to travel the whole distance to Goomeri. If specific items are required to complete your job, you will be charged per hour to go to and from to the nearest specialty store that has the item/s in stock. The cost of the items will be added to your invoice (this may need to be paid before starting the job, depending on the cost of the items) We do not charge for basic hardware, however if your job requires specific hardware, you will be charged accordingly. On a personal note: We pride ourselves on being fair and kind. If you would like to negotiate on price, talk to us. Obviously we are in business to make money, but we also understand how it feels to have nothing and be unable to afford such services. You will be presented with an invoice at the completion of the job which must be paid within 14 days.

04.01.2022 He's so smart. Look at what he's created to pull up star pickets.

04.01.2022 Today's work... Now our client can plant out more veges. It's all about making their space usable and enjoyable. Love what we do.

03.01.2022 Please share. Only one organisation gets to benefit from this on the day.

03.01.2022 I washed the car.... No more salty sand or red dust

02.01.2022 Thankyou Wivenhoe. It was fun. Could have a gig there in the near future. So......... We went toward Esk, and turned left. Went up the Great Dividing Range and turned right at Hampton, headed for Crows Nest. We have booked into Crows Nest Falls Campground. There are some very pretty walks. I think we will have to explore further tomorrow. We are using up our food now, so having tinned cream of mushroom and chicken soup for entree, then chicken and corn soup for dinner. Accompanied by grisini sticks. Ahhhhh the life. Not alone tonight, but we're not in eachother's laps either. The shower is interesting. You have to heat up the water on a fire outside the amenities block, then carry it to the shower. Could be fun.

02.01.2022 Big day today. We...... Rather....... Stefan designed and constructed this awning. We both installed it. Full day of hard work but very pleased with the results.

01.01.2022 No fear. He's like a monkey. He just climbs up ladders and water tanks, next thing, I look up and he's on the roof.

01.01.2022 I interrupt your afternoon scrolling to share my excitement. I, Trudie, have just taken the hoomans on my first ferry ride. We had to pay the ferryman before we got to the other side, so I was very thankful it was the Brisbane River, not the Mercy River. Anyway.... On with the adventure.
