08.01.2022 CHICKENPOX & IBUPROFEN - please remind people NOT to give children nurofen/ibuprofen. This type of medication is an anti-inflammatory - it reacts with chicken p...ox making them go deeper into the skin tissue. Nurofen is ibuprofen based and the NHS website does state for children not to take ibuprofen based products for chickenpox. It should also state on all Nurofen bottles also.
