21.01.2022 House site cuts with simonic_civil_pty_ltd and Topcon Positioning Group Arbitrary datum. 3 floor levels and a driveway to dig out. ... No problem. Soooooooooo We setup UHF over arbitrary datum with known height. Changed digger to Projection & Geoid Created a new flat surface at our datum point then dug to offset surfaces. Also created a surface from points between finished floor level and existing footpath then dug relative to that ready for driveway rock and builder's access. Kept working through the intermittent rain in shorts at 25 degrees from the cab. Love it.

07.01.2022 Good old faithful Topcon Positioning Group Topcon dual grade laser hitting the target through thick scrub where my GPS could not go. The Topcon GPS machine control on Burns Pipelines & Civil Solutions excavator worked brilliantly in amongst the tall timber to drain a channel through this thick scrub. We only had 400mm fall in 300m but we nailed it! #SteggCivil
